My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Detective Kate Morgan is working on a disturbing murder case involving people (including a child) and the desecration of a church. Simon is trying to support Kate but has enough to cope with himself after being asked to help a poker buddy who then commits suicide and nightmares around Kate's case he is unravelling. Finding the killer is important and trying to do that before he kills another family is harder but Kate has no choice.
I really enjoyed this mystery story which had Kate and her case at the centre but woven around it was a mystery that Simon was coping with too. It was nice to see her support him as normally it has felt a bit too one-sided in previous books in the series.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
