Dexter had never hidden his sexuality and his fiery red hair and satin panties don't blend into the background. He is the complete opposite of his new next-door neighbour who is just grouchy. James learned at a young age that you can't rely on anyone as they always leave. He can't work out what to make of his neighbour or the lingerie he sees him in. The more he gets to know about Dexter the more fascinated he becomes which is not right for a straight man. As Dexter breaks through the barriers he once thought were impenetrable, James finds himself questioning everything he’s ever known about himself. Is it possible that Dexter could be just the thing James has been missing all this time? Or will James’s trust issues be too much to overcome?
I enjoyed this story with the two men who would appear as opposites but over time it became clear that they were actually the missing piece for each other. I loved how determined Dexter was and that really James stood no chance against Hurricane Dexter. This was easy to read and understand and had a lot about feelings as James thought about the attraction he felt to Dexter and what his sexuality actually was. This is an MM story with mature content.
