Grief-stricken Tate Myers is having trouble coping with the fact that the man he loved as his Daddy and Master was an evil serial killer. So he attempts to get any kind of answer he can from someone he thought should understand - his Daddy's best friend and former undercover cop, Rogan Steele. It seems they were both completely blindsided as he has nothing to offer but friendship - after all he had no idea about their relationship dynamic and the need that Tate has for a Daddy. As they become closer Tate knows that Rogan can be the Daddy he needs but he needs him to be brave enough to not run away from what he was born to be then they might stand a chance to have forever.
I enjoyed this story with the broken Tate, the fractured relationships, the protective Rogan and their developing romantic relationship. I enjoyed the way that the finding out of the serial killer was a catalyst for a series of events through the whole group of friends. Easy to read, feel and understand it was easy to be sucked into this story. This is an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.
