Barista Howie is lonely but longs for a husband, house, picked fence and the 2.5 kids plus the dog. Meaningless one-night stands now just leave him feeling empty. Introverted writer Jackson Milsap has quietly pined for Howie from the corner of his cafe. Stepping outside of his comfort zone and asking him on a date will send his social anxiety into overdrive - but all of that changes the day he comes to Howie's rescue.
I loved this story with the introverted writer and the barista both secretly wanting each other until one of them was brave enough to make a move. Their relationship was sweet and I loved their little relationship complications. This was a sweet little novella which made me smile and sigh. An MM story with mature content.
