Review: The Roommate Situation by Felicity Snow 4 of 5 stars

The Roommate Situation

The Roommate Situation by Felicity Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rory came home to find his boyfriend in bed with another guy was not how he expected his birthday to go. When his two best friends find out, they help him with moving his things out of the apartment and trying to find a new roommate. In the meantime, they take him out to get his mind off Zach and get laid. Rory is not exactly the cream of the crop when it comes to the dating pool, and all of the messages he's been getting from Zach are only solidifying that in my mind. Surprisingly a guy notices him and he’s got to be the hottest guy he's ever seen. But it goes horribly wrong and Rory runs away mortified and in tears. Thankfully he'll probably never see him again. When Parker spotted the adorable little twink in the bow tie and suspenders at the club he was instantly attracted to him. All that wavy brown hair and the cute as-hell glasses. But when he runs away in tears, Parker is terrified he'd done something to upset him. When he shows up at Parker's doorstep the following day and he’s his potential new roommate he can’t believe his luck. He seems nervous and shy, but so sweet. The more time they’re together, the more Parker realises what a number his ex did to him, and he's determined to make sure he knows how amazing he is, and that he deserves someone who will appreciate and care for him.

This was a sweet story as Rory and Parker became roommates and Rory started to realise that his ex as wrong on many levels but Parker was the right man for him. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of emotions and feelings in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Oliver: an mm romance by Felicity Snow 3 of 5 stars

Oliver: an mm romance

Oliver: an mm romance by Felicity Snow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Oliver has repressed his sexuality and other wants in life to fit into his parent's viewpoints. Then one evening he met Hunter and gave in to those desires. Hunter returned home from college and discover that the man he slept with three months ago is the same man who is engaged to his mom, his world turns upside down. Then Oliver reveals some things about himself that have his heart softening towards him, and confesses that he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about Hunter either.

I enjoyed this story where Hunter taught Oliver that he deserved to be himself and to be loved. However, I did find some parts of the story boring and irritating at times. I found it hard to feel the emotions that should be in this story. Easy to understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Stepbrother Mine by Felicity Snow 3 of 5 stars

Stepbrother Mine

Stepbrother Mine by Felicity Snow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Rome and Sebastian have always been close from the minute he waltzed into his life he won him over with his pep, snark, and give no shits attitude. He’s Rome's best friend and when he is dared to kiss him at a party he doesn't think anything of it but days later he can’t stop thinking about it. Sebastian has been attracted to Rome since the moment he met him. He’s gorgeous with dark hair, soulful eyes, and a sinful smile. His broody personality and protectiveness do it for Sebastian. But he’s straight, and they’re stepbrothers.

I enjoyed this story but found it boring at the start and almost gave up reading it. I was glad I continued as it was heartening to see them get the HEA that they deserved at the end and I loved their parents' reaction. There were some emotions as Rome struggled with the feelings that he had towards his stepbrother but I felt that they were a little hard to feel. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with BDSM-like D/s dynamics.

Review: Until You by Felicity Snow 5 of 5 stars

Until You

Until You by Felicity Snow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Paul had felt like he was drowning for five years after losing everything that mattered to him. Then he sees nineteen-year-old Charlie on the street trying to act tough and offers him his spare room to stay in. As time goes on, he cares for Charlie with an intensity that he shouldn't because he has no idea what he's done, the kind of person he is; and if he ever found out, he would hate him. Charlie has spent his life being told it is wrong to be gay and love another man and so he left home as being on the streets was preferable. Paul's rescue stuns Charlie as no one ever cared for him before and he wonders what the catch is. But as time passes, he realises there is no catch but how can a man 27 years older than him want him?

I loved this story with the older man who was just captivated by the younger Charlie and how they fell in love with each other. I liked that Charlie was determined to work for his keep and that Paul wanted him to finish his education. Lots of tender moments in this story and lots of big emotions as they navigate the source of Paul's pain and their relationship. I loved Paul's ex-wife. Easy to read and lots of big feelings to be understood. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Best Friends: a coming of age novella by Felicity Snow 3 of 5 stars

Best Friends: a coming of age novella

Best Friends: a coming of age novella by Felicity Snow
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Carter and Zach were childhood best friends who were always there for each other. At some point, their love for each other changed into something far more romantic they just hadn't told each other. Carter was a gifted actor who started in roles when he was in first grade. Zach was always there supporting him but struggled whenever Carter had to kiss someone on stage.

This was sweet but ended up being annoying as they both suffered so much needlessly if only they had been better at communication. It was easy to read but I definitely became more annoyed as the story progressed. This was an MM story with some mature content.

** Please note: Best Friends was previously part of the MM Class of 22/23 Prolific Works Giveaway. It is a 16k word standalone, coming-of-age mm novella with bi-awakening, all the pining and a sweet HEA.

Review: Hope for the Holidays by Felicity Snow 4 of 5 stars

Hope for the Holidays

Hope for the Holidays by Felicity Snow
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Everest Jones lost his wife and love of his life two Christmases ago and he has had a hard time coping ever since. He feels like he is drowning in grief while he tries to raise their three young kids while barely managing to make ends meet. He is exhausted, overwhelmed, depressed and lonely. Teacher Levi Washington is 25 and moved to Arizona to make a fresh start after losing his parents and partner in a road crash a few years ago. Running into his student and her family at the school’s trunk or treat event turns his world upside down when he finds himself instantly attracted to the handsome single father. Everest is determined to keep Levi at bay, and Levi has to do everything he can to convince the older man that he is what Levi wants, despite his pain and insecurities. That the two of them just might be what the other needs to help make each other whole.

I enjoyed this novella with the two men at different stages of grief who understand perfectly how things are and the friendship they developed. I loved the involvement of the kids and Everest's family to persuade him that Levi was very necessary and that they could be together. I loved the way that Levi stepped in when Everest had a family emergency and how he handled everything proving that he really could be the other half of Everest's soul. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content. If you suffer from grief like Everest please talk to someone and seek help.
