Finn is just nineteen and has had to suffer through multiple foster placements, bullying from classmates and constant wondering where his next meal will come from. Kicked out of his home and with nowhere to go, he resorts to hiding in a local football stadium when the weather gets tough plus there are colouring books in his secret hidden room which passes the time. When one of the characters in the colouring book comes to life everything changes. Bellamy is under a lot of pressure as his team is winning but his own playing has not been his best. On the field, he can keep his head on for the four quarters but his family is constantly pressuring him to live up to their name. Then he stumbles upon Finn and realises what he has been missing when he realises that Finn is a Little and that he has a need to protect him and be his Daddy. Can Bellamy balance his playing life and the life of caring for Finn while they discover what love really is?
I loved this story with a Little who had been abandoned and pushed away for his whole life and Bellamy who was fortunate but had all the pressures of his sport and his family. With Finn, he could take care of him, and help him to become something and they could develop a relationship with each other. I loved the way that he did everything that he could to protect Finn as well as the way that he was included in his sporting life (which then proved that he was an incentive to do well). Bellamy's family were intense but his Mum was just SO nice and I loved the way that she included Finn in the family. A great HEA that will definitely make you sigh. There is mature MM content in this BSDM like DDLB type story. This novella is part of the A Little Christmas series where the stories are all stand-alone and can be read in any order.
