For months Kye has flirted with Sonny to get him to ask him out, then after Sonny unexpectedly kissed him he thought he was finally going to get somewhere but that was six weeks ago. Now Kye hides from him and avoids his calls because Sonny stood him up and so he has lost his chance. Kye will not give a second chance. As far as Onny is concerned guys like Kye do not date him and then when it comes to dinner he freaks but after thinking about it over time he realises that he is an idiot. No matter how hard Sonny tries Kye won't even give him the time of day. Kye and Sonny are looking for exactly what they could find in each other. If only they would stop overthinking everything and ruining their lives.
I liked this story with the two men who were perfect for each other only if they could communicate better and stop making assumptions. I loved the scenes around Kye's parents which were funny. I was sad to have such little involvement of Sonny's Mum as she seemed to be close to him and yet although there was mention of a visit there was nothing in there about it. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
