Best friends Laurie Scott and Griff Mitchell are going to be laid off from their teaching careers so Laurie takes them both off to a wine country vacation to cheer Griff up at the same time as a Daddy/boy event. When they arrive at the week-long gay retreat, they're both bowled over by a gorgeous boy with a wounded soul. Nicky Parker hurts from a cruel ex but when he wins a ticket to the Daddy/boy event he decides it is time to get out there and meet guys again. When two beautiful men take him by surprise, and his lovelorn heart craves them both. Will Laurie and Griff's friendship survive the mutual attraction to Nicky? Or will they find out there may also be something more between them?
I enjoyed this story because Griff was definitely a Daddy but actually Laurie was one too just not quite the same type. Nicky was a beautiful soul who was doing his best to live life in the gender he was comfortable in after he had started his trans journey. Griff and Laurie loved each other and were living in denial until they were in a position where they could not deny it any more. I did like Nicky as a character and the interaction between Nicky and Ry was emotional but also reminded us all that you should not judge anyone quickly unless you know the facts. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
