My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Wulf's friend married Beau's brother and that is all they have in common. But Wulf finds himself on Beau's couch and then he starts watching him. There are no calls or text messages and Wulf thinks they are in a relationship but neither has talked about it. Wulf works for a crime family and Beau has met most of them, he needs to figure this out. He’s never been good with words. Beau finds little presents from Wulf on his porch but he’s terrified to ask if they’re a couple because he has a bad feeling Wulf is a criminal. Ignorance is bliss, except Beau thinks he might also be in love with Wulf, and there’s a good chance Wulf is extremely hazardous to his health. Everything about them is a mess.
I enjoyed this story with their non-relationship that was a real relationship until there was a point where everything came to a head. There was so much drama and it was all heartbreaking after a major error was made that it was all quite hopeless for a while. I was therefore thrilled when they worked out everything. I was surprised that Zander also made an error. This was easy to read and understand. This book was full of feelings. This is an MM story with mature content. There is mention of historic child abuse and grooming.
