A year ago Mathews's celebrity crush actor Kit Youngblood walked into his life. Matthew would kill to have a night with him, but Kit is not that easy to catch. Kit doesn't want anyone because he came from a nightmarish background and so is surviving as well as he can right now. Matthew is the only person who has made Kit consider taking a chance on a relationship he just needs a little push. Two men with a boatload of issues and secrets will face off in a battle of the hearts. Only time will tell which of their pasts will break them first. Or just maybe they’re exactly what the other needs.
I really loved this story as it had a huge focus on emotions, thoughts and how you coped with it going forward. Then there was the focus on mental health and how you straighten yourself out when you are having a crisis. I was proud of both of these men for the things they had endured in their childhood and the way that they coped with it. I was thrilled when they were able to get married and then when they had sorted out all the major problems. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and mention of historic child abuse and mental health crises.
