A year ago Finley lost his husband and little Cody to cancer and since then he has moved over a thousand miles away and set up a new practice. He accepts a quiet life from now on will be normal for him and then Silas stepped in and Finley can't stop going to the lavish invite-only parties only for the reason that Greyson is there. Greyson has been going to Silas' parties for over a year as he likes the freedom of being himself as he doesn't have that luxury in other parts of his life. Men try to catch his attention at the gatherings but he has not been interested in anyone until Finley but he doesn't feel the same. Despite giving Grayson his constant attention, Finley has no intention of replacing the man he lost and vowed to love forever. But life doesn’t care about his plans, and neither does Grayson.
I loved this story with gentle Greyson and the grieving Finley who needed each other. We learnt all about Greyson and his sad upbringing and just how badly he needed a Daddy which was heartbreaking. The events with his brother in the book were so shocking that it was definitely tear-worthy! I loved that Finley realised eventually what he needed to do and I loved Greyson's idea for remembering lost loved ones. Easy to read, feel and understand you will definitely cry at times as well as feel angry for events around Greyson. This is an MM story with mature content. There is mention of historic child neglect as well as some violence.
