When Asia chases after his best friend's ex into Duncan's lifestyle club hoping to persuade him to give him a second chance he never expected to end up in a club for the slightly twisted. He also never expected to meet the man of his dreams yet there is no denying that Duncan is perfect for him. They connect in every way. But as hard as Asia tries to be honest, no one is truly prepared for the ugliness of his life. Since Duncan's longtime boyfriend dumped him over a year ago nothing has been the same as he despises everything now. As soon as he sees eyes on Asia he knows that he is the one but Asia's life is dark. He disappears for weeks at a time, leaving Duncan biting his nails until Asia’s return. There’s nothing Duncan won’t tolerate to keep Asia and the happiness he’s finally regained. But his past doesn’t want to let him go that easily and could destroy everything he’s rebuilt.
I really enjoyed this story with the two men who were perfect together as both their dark sides cancelled each other out. I loved the way that Asia was determined to protect Duncan and when the chips were down he called his friends for help in the way only they could. I loved the humanity that Duncan showed in his club with a member and that Asia was not as damaged as he thought as he saw that too. Easy to read, feel and understand you will feel some emotion in this story. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D/s relationship.
