Review: Deadly Avenger by Zadie Kane 4 of 5 stars

Deadly Avenger (The Sorrento Family Doms #3)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Risk has always been a turn on for Tommy. But he pushed things too far and was taught a painful lesson. And now he wants.revenge.Luca Sorrento was born into the mafia and raised by violence. Revenge is what Luca does, and he does it well. He could be the man to help Tommy get his revenge – but at what price?

I enjoyed this story although Tommy was a brat at times which did not endear me to him as it added to him being very selfish. On both sides their love was a strange form of love. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content and a BDSM=like DDLB dynamic.

Review: As White as Snow by Charity Parkerson 5 of 5 Stars

As White as Snow

As White as Snow by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The night Snow declared his love for Quentin, he also betrayed him. Quentin has used that night as fuel to reclaim his life. But more times than he can count, he’s wondered if he was wrong about what happened. Now Snow is back, wanting to reclaim him. That might get uglier than he thinks.Snow never intended to hurt Quentin. In fact, his actions that night were meant to protect him. He took his punishment, but now Quentin is making moves like he intends to leave Snow behind. That will never happen.

This story was full of both light and dark passion between these two men as they navigated around the various issues that they faced. I loved the ending and the increased family feeling for them all. The dark passion was very much like an obsession but it did go both ways. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Trained By His Little

Trained By His Little by Alex Blaine by Avery Meadows
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

As a thirty-five year old foreman on a construction site, Tad has a great life…but he’s lonely. And after spending time with his buddy and his Little, Tad is even more aware of how badly he wants a Little of his own. When something is triggered in his biology, he goes from living a quiet and normal existence to needing to deal with a near-constant flow of milk. It’s a crazy change that he’s not sure how to handle.Oliver works at home and keeps mostly to himself. As much as he wants to find a Daddy to take care of him, he’s afraid to open up to a stranger. So he orders fresh milk from The Lactin Brotherhood and takes advantage of their in-person resources when he needs extra comfort. When Oliver is asked to help out Tad, a new member of The Lactin Brotherhood who isn’t handling his changing body very well, he’s eager to step up. Not only for the yummy reward but because he genuinely wants to help the man who is probably very confused about what’s happening to him.

This was a sweet story of how Daddy Tad found his perfect little in Oliver who found his dream in Tad. I loved how their relationship grew slowly into something that was there forever. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic with male lactation.

Review: Heartless by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Heartless

Heartless by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For James Motel and baker Levi Kadish, it's hate at first sight. Levi thinks James is an arrogant out-of-towner, and James thinks Levi is a smug local with an overblown opinion of himself. Together, the two of them are like oil and water, but Levi likes the way he feels when James looks at him, and James really loves the sound of Levi's voice when he says those heartless things. Levi has never had something feel as right as his unconventional relationship with James, and when he finds himself with nowhere to go, he turns to the one man he knows who won't turn him away...even though he's the only man who should.

These two men certainly had passion even if it started out as hate and irritation. Their sexual tastes were a bit on the strange side but they both loved it. I liked how the events in the previous book in the series were included in this one too so that the timeline was straight. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Bold by M.A. Innes 4 of 5 stars

Bold

Bold by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alpha Tyson has a problem. He wants into the club, but the gatekeeper, Austin, knows he’s hiding something. He is but hoped he wouldn't have to share it so soon.  Omega  Dessie has a problem. Austin wants to fix him up with an unconventional alpha. Dessie wants to believe that Austin knows what he’s doing because everyone knows Austin is amazing. However, his frustrating history with Doms has shown him that opening up about his own desires isn’t a good idea but Austin swears this time it’ll be different. When privacy is a must and dating has been a bust, two men have to decide if they’re ready to finally open up and let love in.

I loved this book with the two men who were keen on preserving their privacy but had kinks and personalities that were perfect for each other. I love Dessie who I just wanted to hug and cuddle with. Easy to read, feel and understand. The characters felt real and were very easy to relate to. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse including BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Limitless Love: A Polyamorous Charity Anthology by Colette Davison by Aurora Crane by Elouise East

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great value collection of short stories that show that love sometimes needs more than two people.

The Two That Got Away by Aurora Crane

Keenan doesn't think that he deserves love but Drew and Evan show him how much that isn't true. A short and very sweet short story.

Triple XP by Colette Davison

I loved that this story was so romantic but also showed that love came in three. A great showcase of this author's writing style.

What We Wished Four by Elouise East

Four best friends with the aid of some clear communication prove that they were always meant to be together. Typical of this author's style.

Reckless

Reckless by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pursuing your best friend's dad is never a good idea, but Cameron Motel is feeling reckless. His life is about to change, and Luke is older, attractive...and he represents something Cameron has never had before. Stability. Luke didn't mean to get involved with his son's best friend, but Cameron needed a strong hand and Luke was willing to deliver on his promises. This thing between them is supposed to be a secret, but something as big as love can't stay hidden for long. Then a single phone call sends Cameron farther away from home than he'd ever planned to go, and Luke's subconscious keeps him grounded in the past unable to move on. Cameron is gone, and to get him back Luke needs to do something big, something bold, something...reckless.

This was a good story with the emotions and feelings tied into the best friend's father theme. Cam was a very singleminded and determined man and Luke stood little chance once he crossed the line. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

A Daddy for Maddy

A Daddy for Maddy by Wendy Rathbone
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Maddy got caught by his roommate while in an embarrassing pose and acting like a baby. He already knew and said littles are popular in his link club and insisted that Maddy went with him the next night. The first man he saw there is a handsome bouncer who gave him a menacing look. Later that night, Mr. Menacing re-enters Maddy's life in a way that has him all but begging for him to be his first-ever daddy.

This was a sweet story of how a sweet little met the Daddy of his dreams and made a friend for life when he was brave. I enjoyed the discussions around thought., feelings and emotions. Easy to read this was a MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

The Good Boy The Good Boy by Lisa Henry
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Introverted college student Lane Moredock is in a bad place. His mother has been arrested for securities fraud, his father is on the run, and everyone, including the SEC, suspects Lane knows where the missing millions are. Lane, with no money and nowhere to live, makes a desperate deal that lands him in trouble and leaves him unwilling to trust a so-called Dom again. Photographer Derek Fields lost money to the Moredocks, and is as sure as anyone that Lane is guilty despite his claims. A chance meeting with Lane shows him there might be something more to the young man than arrogance and privilege, and Derek wonders if Lane might be just what he's been looking for: a sub with the potential to be a life partner. As Lane slowly begins to open up to Derek and explore his needs as a submissive, the investigation closes tighter around him. Lane might be everything that Derek wants, but first Derek needs to trust that Lane is innocent-and Lane needs to trust Derek with the truth.

This was an enjoyable story but in places it got a little silly. I did like Lsne but he was incredibly nieve.  Derek wzs a nice guy who did his best to prove that Doms were nothing like the man he made the bad decision to trust with. Easy to read and understand. Surviving the Storm

Surviving the Storm by Jacey Davis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Former Marine Kai Rinaldi: started RAM Securities with best friend Martinez to specialise in the jobs that the government and law enforcement couldn’t, or wouldn’t take on. It wasn’t an easy road, but now we’re the first stop for any person or any government that needed a job done efficiently and discreetly. But even with everything I’ve seen in my life, nothing prepared him for the day he met Aspen Malling. After years of living under the brutal control of his father and uncle, he and his siblings were free. His younger brother and sister actually had a chance at a normal life, and the older kids were adjusting. Mostly. At least he had a job he loved as a technical expert with RAM and control over his own life. Sure, his growing feelings for Kai were unrequited, but that was fine. Then, everything changed, new information tied one of their cases to his past, shattering the illusion of safety. But as the danger grew, so did his feelings for Kai. At least they aren’t as one-sided as he initially thought. With so many obstacles standing in their way, not to mention the danger lurking just around the corner, they have to decide if it was worth pursuing a relationship, or were they better off going their separate ways?

I loved this story. The scene was set well and I felt real empathy for Aspen and his siblings. I loved the drama in the story around the abduction and trafficking. Aspen was adorable and I loved his eventual relationship with Kai. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Patrick needs to tell his family that he is gay, make a giant cake for an anniversary party, convince Connor to be my fake boyfriend for the weekend, try to keep his hands off Connor and make sure Connor doesn't find out that he has been in love with him for the past three years. Black & White by Vinni George

Orca shifter Nero Hunter is tired. He’s tired of early mornings chasing down skips. He's tired of being alone. But agreeing to do one little favour for a friend turns the tide and brings Nero face-to-face with his destiny. Sea Otter shifter Felix White is unlucky. When his life is threatened and he’s hauled into police custody for safekeeping, the last thing he expects is to meet his fated mate. Especially when his mate is a giant killer whale shifter, who is also his new bodyguard. But there is more to the plot against Felix than meets the eye, and Nero and his brothers have to work together to figure out who is after Felix before it’s too late...before Nero loses the mate he just found.

I enjoyed this story which was a great merger between a mystery and a fated mates story. There were many layers to the mystery and it was a fairly dramatic ending. I loved Felix and his relationship with Nero. The concept of O.R.C.A. was great and I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Easy to read, feel and understand. Rewarding His Jock: An M/M Contemporary Daddy Romance

Rewarding His Jock: An M/M Contemporary Daddy Romance by Alex Blaine by Chrissy Brookes

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Hunter and Lucas have been roommates since their freshman year in college. Even though their apartment has grown and been upgraded, their relationship hasn’t. They’re best friends first, but something has been brewing under the surface since the very beginning. Lucas is an offensive lineman on the football team and will often let his grades slide–sometimes a little too low. Hunter, though slightly shorter and slimmer than Lucas, has a commanding presence and knows exactly how to keep the boy in line. When Hunter’s body starts to change and he needs physical and emotional support, Lucas is right there to step in and lend his own version of help. And while Lucas has his own struggles to bring up his grades so he can keep his football scholarship, Hunter's protective side comes to the surface and their relationship quickly changes beyond what either of them could have ever imagined.

This was a friends to lovers story with a touch of Daddy and male lactation kink. I liked how Hunter helped Lucas to improve his grades but that also encouraged him to be a better football player with the help of the milk. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content in a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Deadly Little Sparrow

Deadly Little Sparrow by K.M. Neuhold
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sparrow may be small and pretty, but what he lacks in intimidation factor, he makes up for in violence. He made a vow five years ago that the motorcycle club responsible for his brother’s death would pay the price, and is finally ready to collect. Accidentally breaking the nose of the deadliest man in the city wasn’t his best move. Xaviaro Saviano, trigger man for the Moretti Crime Family and now Sparrow's personal stalker who also appears to want to help. As strange as it sounds, Xaviaro seems to want to help. Threatening him feels like foreplay, tying him up only turns him on. He calls Sparrow his Deadly Little Sparrow from his knees. Can love and revenge live in the same heart?

This was an intense story which demonstrated that even the hardest men can be submissive. Sparrow was an intelligent guy doing his best to avenge his brother's death while being the right Dominant for Xavi. Easy to read, feel and understand there were some intense emotions and feelings around a violent environment. This was MM story with mature content set in a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Would You Hold It Against Me by Aria Grace
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ex-bodybuilder Cayson enjoys running his family’s pizzeria and carrying on the legacy his great-grandfather started so many years ago. But it consumes his whole life. Finn has been working long hours as a police sergeant, trying to stay busy after attending yet another wedding of yet another friend who has found love. It's not exactly healthy, but he likes the distraction of work to keep him from feeling the loneliness that has been getting heavier and heavier with each passing year of solitude. Dylan has been relying on a glass of bourbon to get to sleep every night, so when he realizes he's out, he runs out to the store to pick up a bottle. And if he gives in to his Little side, he might leave the store with some frozen cookie dough and microwave popcorn to cap off his weekend pity party. But when an amateur thief walks into that store and tries to rob it and the three customers inside, all their lives are changed forever.

I enjoyed this story with the little Dylan who is struggling on his own, Daddy Cayson who needs a sweet boy to care for and Dominant Finn who has a Daddy side he never knew about. When a new kid shows up, I become the target of a ruthless and wealthy adversary who is determined to end both my work and my life. His brother Shiloah insists on hiring a bodyguard for him. Hiding out and on the run seems like a dangerous time to fall head over heels, but Rio makes it impossible to resist. He may be able to keep Saint's body intact, but what about his heart?

I really enjoyed this story with the danger and drama mixed into the relationship between the two men. The way they switched between Dominant and Submissive roles for each other was different. Ev Bailey is done dating his bosses. After the last disaster, he’s sworn off workplace romances for good. Which is why it’s so inconvenient that his new boss is hotter than sin and an expert at pushing all his butons. Gabe Diaz didn’t want a PA, but he has to admit that things run more smoothly with Ev around. The boy is easy to work with and even easier on the eyes. Not that Gabe’s going to do anything about it. He’s too experienced to make that kind of mistake. Besides, he has certain tastes that would probably send his buttoned-up PA running. Anything beyond a professional relationship between them is off the table. Then the hottest spot to play in town hosts a New Year’s Eve masquerade, and with masks firmly in place, anything could happen. They’ll deal with the repercussions on Monday.

The Unexpected Omega

The Unexpected Omega by Jacey Davis
My rating: 3 of 5 star

It had been nearly 150 years since the last Omega. Nearly 150 since the last male pregnancy, since the last time anyone experienced any of the genetic traits that made a person an Alpha, Beta, or Omega. Now, everyone was just human, and any knowledge of the past came from stories passed down from generation to generation or history books. All River Simmon wanted to do was put his bad day behind him and have some fun. Cooper Covington had similar ideas. After his best friend convinced him to go out to the bar after a breakup, all he wanted to do was enjoy himself and forget his troubles. From the moment the two men laid eyes on each other they felt a connection. Neither man entered the bar planning on a hookup, but the spark between them was just too hard to resist. What they hadn’t understood at the time was something that was just supposed to be a one-night stand would end up connecting the two men forever, in more ways than one.

This was a good introduction to the series and River/Cooper's relationship. I loved that the prejudices and biggotry were well described as they experienced if from the public as well as medical professionals. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story set in the omegaverse including mpreg.

Reporter Jordan thinks he is broken and unworthy of love but the joke is on him because pop star Daly is also broken. However, their breaks are not the same and have different additions but their jagged edges fit together like a puzzle. But Daly will be right there watching Jordan self-destruct to help him pick up the pieces whether he wants him to because that is what love is.

This was an emotional story as we experienced two imperfect men coping (or not) with life and all that it threw at them. Jordan was by far the affected one and he had a lot of personal demons that came out which gave me a much greater understanding as to why he was the way that he was. I loved that the two men just slept (often clothed) on the same bed and did not immediately jump into a very physical relationship. He’s Rome's best friend and when he is dared to kiss him at a party he doesn't think anything of it but days later he can’t stop thinking about it. Sebastian has been attracted to Rome since the moment he met him. He’s gorgeous with dark hair, soulful eyes, and a sinful smile. His broody personality and protectiveness do it for Sebastian. But he’s straight, and they’re stepbrothers.

I enjoyed this story but found it boring at the start and almost gave up reading it. I was glad I continued as it was heartening to see them get the HEA that they deserved at the end and I loved their parents' reaction. Bloom: Part One by Gianni Holmes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dr. Logan Collier is a trauma surgeon and has a peaceful and ordered life. Then a young, feral goth biker called Bloom enters his life and starts leaving him creepy gifts. But Bloom does have a lot of scars on his body only partially hidden by tattoos which makes Lucas want to protect him. When a security threat forces the hospital into lockdown, Bloom’s feral nature takes over. He doesn’t care how many die as long as Logan makes it out alive. Bloom is Logan's, scars, chaos, and all.

I adored this story. Bloom is such a tortured soul which is all down to his cruel start in life and I found the explanations of that and his emotions and feelings brought him to life for me. Logan has his own secrets and he tries to keep Bloom away but in the end, he wears Logan down until they become an item. Their relationship was unorthodox but Logan did treat Bloom with care and respect as much as he could. The threat at the hospital was dramatic but Bloom did his best to live up to Logan's standards which was great to see. I was gutted when this book finished and can't wait for the next one now. Easy to read, there were loads of feelings and emotions in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.

Wesley (Hathaway House #23)

Wesley by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Weley has lost his right leg and left arm. He can hide the leg prosthetic but not the arm one and he badly just wants to look normal. Therapist Alba works at Hathaway House and works with patients to come to terms with their new reality. Wesley is one of the patients but as they have more sessions their connection builds but she tries to stay professional. Yet, when she points out a few issues to help him change his perspective, their friendship becomes rocky. Needing to find her balance again, she pulls back. When Wesley accidentally meets a young girl visiting her father at the centre he shifts his attitude and realises everything is within his reach if he makes the effort including Alba.

I enjoyed this story as we go through Wesley getting to grips with his physical limitations and all the ways that Alba tried to help him come to terms with the new version of himself. There were a lot of important discussions with Alba around his insistence on becoming what he saw as normal and his need for a new version of normal. Easy to read, feel and understand there are a lot of emotions in this story as we make the journey with Wesley.

Review: Singer's Security by Joy Danvers 4 of 5 stars

Singer's Security (Alden Security #2)

Singer's Security by Joy Danvers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Country singer Shiloah has had a fake relationship with his female PA for years and it has taken the pressure off him but she wants to marry her girlfriend and start a family together so he needs to finally come out of the closet. He has hired a bodyguard to keep crazy fans away and he has also agreed to pretend to be his boyfriend. Shiloah never had a real boyfriend, and it’s not long before he wishes it was real. Jackson has a past but he appears to want it to be real too. If they can stay ahead of the person who is threatening Shiloah they have a chance to make it real and permanent.

I really enjoyed this story with the two men who managed to build a relationship together while solving the mystery of the person who was threatening Shiloah. I loved that Jackson tried to take Shiloah through the stages of a proper relationship starting with flirting and kissing before moving on to more physical things. The threat was dramatic at times and caused by Shiloah coming out. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Jasper by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Jasper

Jasper by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

For Jasper, watching Mason go down, is all-in investigation. Taking over the current investigation team, he distrusts everyone. Tesla, his cousin, expects Jasper to get to the bottom of this and fast. ER nurse Amber isn’t on Mason’s team but knows something major is happening. The hospital is overwhelmed with men, as they want updates on Mason’s condition. A few look like they belong, and then a couple don’t. Taking pictures of those in question, she sends them to Jasper, which starts a cascading chain of events. And none of it good. Jasper must keep them both safe, as the investigation heats up and gets even uglier.

This is a great new mystery as they struggle to find the motivation behind the attack on Mason while also trying to protect love interest Amber. Plenty of danger and drama while also huge empathy for Tesla who could only watch helplessly as Mason fell. A great story with promise for the future.

Review: Baby Queen by Charlie Novak 5 of 5 stars

Baby Queen (The Court, #3)

Baby Queen by Charlie Novak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Being broke, single, and homeless after winning the UK's biggest drag show wasn't how Anthony's (Barbie Summers) life was supposed to go. He's meant to be the one with everything, but thanks to an evil tour company, he has nothing but his image and a mountain of debt. Moving back home with his mum and taking the first gig I’m offered in a local drag panto is supposed to help him get back on his feet, but meeting Colin tangles him up more than ever. Colin desperately wants to start doing drag and suddenly Anthony is helping a baby queen find her feet while falling head over heels for the man behind the lashes. Everyone knows mixing power dynamics is a recipe for trouble, but his life is already a mess. Will falling for Colin spell disaster or is he the only thing keeping him upright in my seven-inch heels?

I love these guys with their over-the-top drag personas and the language that they use. Anthony and Colin were drawn together from the start and the mentorship was just a complication but I feel that they were adult enough in their thoughts and actions to make sure that they did not make any mistakes and turn it into a negative experience for either of them. There were a lot of discussions about thoughts and feelings around the way that Anthony was conned out of earnings and the relationship between the two men. I thought Anthony's Mum was brilliant - we all need a mother like her. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Gabriel by Joe Satoria 3 of 5 stars

Gabriel (Palmdale Daddies #2)

Gabriel by Joe Satoria
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Multi-millionaire Gabriel Nolan calls The Manor home, a secluded mansion where all your kitten play fantasies are fulfilled. And after years of getting everything he wanted, there’s just one little kitten who isn’t ready to play. Liam Duke is buried under a mountain of debt and failed relationships. He has a hard time coming out of his shell, except when he’s in his little kitten space. Answering a job ad online might solve all his problems. Will Liam be able to fix himself and find love again? As The Manor gears up for a special event and with the promise of a big payday, all the kittens are coming out to play - even the shy ones.

This was a sweet story of kitten Liam and Daddy Gabriel and how they came together and fell in love. I enjoyed how Gabriel allowed Liam opportunities to build trust with him and ensure that their relationship was as healthy as it could be given the circumstances. I did, however, find the Daddy side of things a little bit of an afterthought and also wondered as to what logic Liam was following when he ran away. I also found the reason for the closure a little strange given that he was replacing one club with another but with much safer protections for the staff. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic with pet play.

Review: His Theo by M.A. Innes 4 of 5 stars

His Theo (The New Neighbors #5)

His Theo by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Theo is invited to make new friends and possibly find a tentacled mate. If nothing else he will have a nice dinner and have a chance to try and be less awkward. The one thing he isn’t counting on is meeting the Dom of his dreams right before hitting the floor. When a cutie with confidence issues meets an adorably awkward Dom, they’ll learn that sometimes you have to find your mate to find yourself.

This was a great story as to how tentacled alien Jerker met his mate Theo at a social event for aliens and potential mates to meet and socialise. The way that Theo became overwhelmed and blacked out was a little worrying but thankfully when Jerker found him he was taken care of properly (something that he was not doing himself). I liked that Theo was able to help to educate Jerker and that helped him educate more of the aliens. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content in a BSDM-like D/s dynamic.

Sugar Sweet Daddy (My Little's Wishlist, #3)

Sugar Sweet Daddy by Joe Satoria
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Riggs is the manager of a candy store and loves Christmas. He is also obsessed with new employee Tomas. Tomas has a Christmas wish - he wants to find a tender Daddy. Can they both find love together this Christmas?

This was a sweet novella with Daddy Riggs finding his dream little in new employee Tomas. I loved the way that they were careful with limits and made sure to be respectful to each other. The little dairy presents from Riggs to Tomas were sweet and had a nice Christmas touch. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Cookie by Dakota Rebel 3 of 5 stars

Cookie (Phoenix Squad #3)

Cookie by Dakota Rebel
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cookie and Max Browning cannot work together without their emotions, and tempers, getting in the way. The line between love and hate is getting thinner between them until eventually Cokkie admits how he feels about Max hopefully before the world around them is damaged.

This was a fast-moving book when it came to their relationship even if the overriding story didn't progress very much. I did find the change from hotel to love to be a bit sudden and abrupt and felt that it would have been better with a little more build-up and interaction between the two men. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Forever Always by Jacey Davis 5 of 5 stars

Forever Always

Forever Always by Jacey Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Becks knew step-brother Riley was his to take care of as soon as his Dad introduced him to him and his mother. For a while everything was perfect but then it all changed. Protecting him became even more important as Becks was the only thing between Riley and his Dad and the only person keeping a roof over his head or feeding him. When they are both grown men Becks would still do anything for Riley and gladly get his hands dirty or cross a line to keep him clean. It was still Becks and Riley against the world - Forever Always.

This was a dark story with the two step-brothers navigating life and Becks coping with some dreadful things before a suitable age to protect Riley. I loved their relationship and the love between the two of them even though I could see that it would upset some people. They had to navigate some really hard time and yet they never lost their love for each other. This will cause some tears as you experience some of their hard times and you will cry when you come to realise what Beck's childhood was like. Lots of feelings and emotions in this story. This was an MM story with mature content. Please read the content warnings.

Review: More Than Words by Becca Neil 5 of 5 stars

More Than Words

More Than Words by Becca Neil
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oliver Ellison’s heart knows the words are true. Sam Reynolds is the love of his life, and Ollie wants nothing more than to tell his boyfriend how he feels. But trauma and pain from a brutal assault nearly two years ago have kept Ollie from being free to say the words out loud - or to express his love through physical intimacy. Sam understands. He was there at the beginning, after all. He was the one who took care of Ollie during the aftermath, and he’s been there ever since, with his sunshine-filled smile and endless support. Healing is a long road, and Sam is committed. However long it takes. But when a family emergency on the opposite side of the country forces them apart, Sam and Ollie might need all the strength of their love and much more than words to help them get through it.

OMG, this is just such an emotional story as Ollie struggles with his PTSD and anxiety following the attack. Sam's love for Ollie is astounding and demonstrates that they were meant to be together. There are so many feelings and emotions that you cannot help but be swept away by them. You will cry and it won't be pretty. Please read the trigger warnings. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: No Good by Skyler Snow by Brea Alepoú 3 of 5 stars

No Good (The Hitters MC Club Book 2)

No Good by Skyler Snow by Brea Alepoú
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Movie star Tokyo Gatlin is the son of a man of god. A man who commands a flock who will not be embarrassed by the likes of me. I am a Son of the Sun, a man with morals and values. When he meets Angel he is supposed to be his dirty little secret that he can hide from the world but then he becomes so much more than that. Tokyo was meant for the path of light, but the darkness never looked so sweet. Angel might be his undoing, but he can’t let his feisty, determined, headstrong biker go. It’s time for him to find his path even if it breaks him.

I found this book harder to get on with compared to the first one in the series. However, the story between Tokyo and Angel is a love story with the complications of Toko's father and Angel's twin brother Demon (who was at times funny). There was great chemistry between the two men and I think that was part of what carried them through everything else that happened. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Colby's Lost Binky by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat 3 of 5 stars

Colby's Lost Binky (Found by Daddy Book 10)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Colby had it all - a daddy who loved him, a nursery filled with all the toys he could ever want, and a job that made a difference. Only his daddy didn’t love him as he caught him in bed with his boss and so left with only what he could carry as he knew he was worth more than that. So without a job he ends up on his sister's couch and working in her coffee shop. Then he lost his security binky and as a result, he found a new daddy who was ready for his own little.

This was a sweet story of how Colby met Barrister and how they built a relationship which easily moved into a daddy/little dynamic and how they found their happy ever after as well as like-minded friends at Chained. I was thrilled for them both as they were a great couple who were very compatible. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Under Your Skin by Lee McCormick 3 of 5 stars

Under Your Skin

Under Your Skin by Lee McCormick
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Levi works in a corrupt town that wants every dead to disappear. He has nightmares based on a major event from his past and the only comfort he finds is in gifts from the man who killed his mother’s killer - presents wrapped in a body bag and delivered to the morgue for me to examine. As soon as Levi saw his mark he knew he had to keep his Killer safe and his work a secret just for himself because every body that came his way was a love letter. Jonah accidentally leaves evidence behind during one of his kills and so has to go to the morgue to rectify his mistake but instead watches a young mortician admiring his work before covering it up. Levi is a man who is going to change Jonah's world.

This was a very dark story which I have to admit took me a while to get my head around the story and the draw between these two men as I almost gave up. There was also a lot of passion and even obsession and I have to admit that I did not see the way it ended coming. Sometimes that passion crossed over in mild violence. Easy to read and feel. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Relentless by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Relentless

Relentless by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Years into their relationship, there’s still no one Levi Kadish hates more than James Motel. There’s also no one he loves more. Levi’s keeping a secret from James that could change everything—for better or for worst. Forced to decide what to put first, his own wants or the well-being of the town he calls home, Levi realizes time—and friendships—have changed him. He’s not the selfish and arrogant man he used to be. Once relentless with his confidence, his pride, his desire, now Levi must find out if he has the same kind of fight in him when it comes to his boyfriend, his family, and everything they’ve built in Cherry Creek.

I enjoyed this visit back with the Motel brothers and it was great to see how James and Levi's relationship had matured into something far deeper and at times softer. There was a good heart to heart between two of the brothers which was enlightening. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content.

Review: Judging Duke by Alex J. Adams 4 of 5 stars

Judging Duke (Liverpool Boys #4)

Judging Duke by Alex J. Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Duke's life is good after going through abuse and prostitution in the past. He had a stable job and a very healthy sex life. Then Simon walked into where Duke worked and everything fell apart. Old feelings came back into focus and Duke hated Simon but also wanted him badly. Simon's life is good having got past the depression and anxiety of the past. His business was doing well, he had plenty of cash but then meeting Duke sent his life into a tailspin. When Duke and Simon meet again sparks fly. First hate, then lust. Can they finally put the past behind them and move on together? Will Simon ever stop judging Duke for the mistake he made?

I loved this book. Both men had hardships in their lives after a past event changed them both. There was an attraction between them that changed after the years into a passion that has love and hate as just different parts of the same thing. I loved Barbara who was Duke's customer who had become a dear friend. She did her best to make sure that the two men saw the possibilities between them and that Duke was safe and secure. Easy to read, feel and understand I was swept into their lives and world. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Diesel by Dakota Rebel 3 of 5 stars

Diesel (Phoenix Squad #2)

Diesel by Dakota Rebel
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Diesel (Carter) was a member of a ghost operations team and his boyfriend and professional football player Troy Dunkirk had no idea what he did for a job. When Diesel has to go into action after a series of terrorist attacks Troy becomes suspicious about Diesel's actual job and so he needs to weigh the love of his country against the love of his life. The decision shouldn't be that difficult but it is.

This was an enjoyable read but I did find it a bit lacking. Apart from a few hurried sex scenes, there wasn't any romance or intimacy. However, I do like the Phoenix Squad and their team dynamics which could give us some interesting stories in the future as well as the terrorism threat they are dealing with. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Immersion Play by Katherine McIntyre 4 of 5 stars

Immersion Play (Leather and Lattes #1)

Immersion Play by Katherine McIntyre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Micah left his old life in the middle of the night and showed up in San Francisco on a job tip from a friend. However, when Meg hires him at Whipped, he is introduced to a whole new world with a cosy crew of kinksters including one man who continues to catch his attention again and again. Parker decided after his mom died and his father became a shell of himself to never let anyone wreck him like that so avoids relationships but Micah’s gotten under his skin. Micah’s the brattiest boy that Parker could’ve ever dreamed of playing with and the connection between them is Incendiary. Micah realises he can't do casual anymore with Parker and so breaks it off. Can a way forward be found?

I loved this new world that the author created and the fun of a cafe at the heart of the kink community. Micah felt very real and I could empathise with his home situation and need to escape. Parker was tortured and punished himself for no logical reason (even if it felt justified in his mind at the time). I'm looking forward to reading more in this world and the next HEA. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of feelings and emotions in this story. This is an MM story with mature content and BSDM-like scenarios in a Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: One Night With The Nanny by K. Sterling 4 of 5 stars

One Night With The Nanny (Nannies of New York #6)

One Night With The Nanny by K. Sterling
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Marshall Agency may have begun on a whim, but it’s no accident that it’s considered the best in Manhattan. Everything goes exactly as planned because Reid Marshall only does things one way: his way. Maximilian, Margrave of Hessen, knows a thing or two about living a lie. Desperate to mend his relationship with his daughters, Max turns to the Marshall Agency’s headstrong founder for help. Only to find they have already met. Max wants more than one night with the nanny and intends to win the fiercely independent younger man’s heart. Can Reid resist, or will he too succumb to love and live happily ever after?

And so the last one falls (albeit very reluctantly). I loved the way that Reid was determined to live his life his way through one-night stands at an exclusive hotel where most men thought he was an escort. I was thrilled for Max when the advice and hard work got his daughters back as well as a chance at the man of his dreams. I loved that between the wider family and friends they all worked to push Reid to see that his objections and so-called reasons were silly and that they two men could get past everything if they really wanted to. I loved the living situation solution. Easy to read, feel and understand there were some big emotions in this story as Reid tried hard to find reasons why they couldn't be together. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Losing his Daddy by A.W. Scott 5 of 5 stars

Losing his Daddy (Coleman Ranch #6)

Losing his Daddy by A.W. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gerald Grimes knew what it meant to live with a broken heart because his Daddy died and he worked hard to numb the pain with alcohol and then he left his world behind for a chance to rehabilitate himself. Once sober, he knew going back to the ranch would only send him spiralling again. A call to a friend of a friend gets him connected with a new job in the city. He planned to start his life over, one good decision at a time. He didn't expect his boss to be so tempting. Weston Joffry was numb after discovering his fiancée wasn't all that interested in monogamy after all, he found himself in need of help to restart his life. One call and he had his problem solved in no time at all.
He was ready to begin anew. No more romance, no more dating. It was the perfect plan. Except, when the man with the sad eyes and broken past came knocking, Weston wanted so much more than to hire him. He wanted forever.

OMG this was such a sad book to start with as you could feel Gerald's pain and heartbreak which was replaced by hope and the potential for happiness and joy. Just a little more pain to go through as they both dealt with Gerald's past and the associated pain (which again I could feel) before they found happiness together. This book was very emotional and there were a lot of big feelings so be prepared to cry and feel all of the pain and hurt that Gerald had to work through to move towards a future. I loved the involvement of some of the past characters from other series by the same author. Easy to read, feel and understand there are some big feelings and emotions in this story. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

The Nanny with the Nice List (Nannies of New York #5)

The Nanny with the Nice List by K. Sterling
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dash has known for some time that the quiet, uptight and cranky accountant Gavin Selby is the one for him. When he uncovers Gavin’s secret, Dash sees his chance to prove just how right they are for each other. Not only will Gavin become the library’s new Santa, but Dash is on a mission to deliver the brightest, most romantic Christmas ever. Gavin did everything he could to protect his friends and paid a dear price. But he was happy to toe the line as long as everyone else got their happily ever after. The price for Dash’s silence is pumpkin spice lattes and walks in Central Park. Gavin is happy to endure the holiday markets and wear a Santa costume if it means Dash will keep his secret. But can Gavin keep his most dangerous secret to himself? Or, will Dash finally discover that all Gavin wants for Christmas is him?

I loved this story with the reserved Gavin who is determined to pay any price to protect everyone. Dash was prepared to wait until he discovered the secret and decided that enough was enough and he would introduce Gavin to nice things around the Christmas season. I loved that Gavin finally cracked and gave in which was exactly what they both deserved. Gavin's father was a bitter and evil old man and I was thrilled when Gavin finally realised that enough was enough. Lots of feelings and emotions in this story as Gavin experienced the season with Dash and finally prioritised himself. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Zane by Dakota Rebel 4 of 5 stars

Zane (Phoenix Squad #1)

Zane by Dakota Rebel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When the Secret Service identifies a credible threat against the life of President Spencer Thomas, they have to call in outside help for protection, because they believe the threat is coming from inside the West Wing. Neither President Thomas nor Zane are thrilled with the situation, but I joined my black ops squad to protect and serve my country, and my president, against all threats, foreign and domestic. So I’ll be right here, as close to him as possible, until that threat is neutralised. But the more time they spend together, the more Zane starts to wonder - how close is too close?

I enjoyed this story with the threat which links to staff with access to the President and the many threads and layers which suggest this is much larger than one country and the death of one man. I enjoyed the tension between Zane and Spencer which culminated in some quick passion and love (very much along the instalove track). Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
