Review: His Little Winter Wonderland by A.W. Scott 4 of 5 stars

His Little Winter Wonderland: An M/M Christmas Romance

His Little Winter Wonderland: An M/M Christmas Romance by A.W. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tanner is a small-town lawyer, exhausted and burned out after losing a major case. Seeking peace and renewal, he retreats to the Coleman Ranch for rest and quiet. Simon is a hardworking cowboy who has withdrawn into solitude after the loss of his husband. He hides his nurturing “Daddy heart” beneath routine, avoiding emotional entanglements. Tanner finds unexpected comfort in Simon’s steady presence. Meanwhile, a mysterious Secret Santa begins leaving thoughtful gifts for Tanner, slowly breaking down his defences. Simon’s playful Secret Santa gestures were meant to cheer Tanner, not to spark romance. But as Tanner opens up and Simon’s resolve softens, their connection deepens into love.

I loved this story, which was a cosy, heartwarming holiday romance about a weary lawyer and a grieving cowboy who, through twelve days of gifts and gentle care, discover love, healing, and a happily ever after at the Coleman Ranch. I loved that Tanner’s burnout represented the exhaustion of modern life — constant pressure, noise, and the toll of professional failure and his retreat to the ranch symbolised the need to step away and rediscover balance. Having lost his husband, Simon embodied the quiet ache of unresolved sorrow. His routine was a shield, but also a prison. Together, their stories show how healing often requires both rest (Tanner’s retreat) and courage to reopen the heart (Simon’s journey). The story suggested that love can be a balm for both burnout and grief. A sweet MM story with mature content with a BSSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Levity by Roe Horvat 4 of 5 stars

Levity

Levity by Roe Horvat
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Leo is a vulnerable omega living in fear and isolation. When he finally gives in to his desires with a domineering alpha, the encounter turns chaotic—his ex’s thugs attack, and he’s suddenly kidnapped by what seems to be a dragon. Confused and terrified, Leo questions his sanity, since dragons shouldn’t exist. Davidson is a dragon shifter alpha who recognises Leo as his destined mate. Fierce, protective, and dominant, Davidson rescues Leo in his dragon form, though their first night together leaves Leo frightened. Determined to repair the damage, Davidson commits to protecting and winning Leo’s trust. Leo’s trauma and mistrust clash with Davidson’s intensity and possessiveness. Their relationship begins in chaos and fear, but Davidson’s persistence and Leo’s hidden longing create the potential for healing and passion.

I loved this story that explored how trauma can trap someone in survival mode, and how love, risk, and intimacy can reignite the will to live fully. I thought that the omegaverse framework highlighted the negotiation of boundaries, consent, and trust and that Leo’s vulnerability contrasts with Davidson’s dominance. The story asked: Can vulnerability be a source of strength? Power exchange becomes not just erotic, but a way to rebuild trust and reclaim agency. I also loved that the story embraced the mythical and impossible as pathways to transformation.  This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: A Little Christmas 4: Teddy by M.A. Innes 4 of 5 stars

A Little Christmas 4: Teddy

A Little Christmas 4: Teddy by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Levi is a grumpy character who feels unfairly punished by being given soup, which he despises. He admits he hasn’t been the nicest lately, but insists he doesn’t deserve “soup-level punishment.” Teddy is a mischievous but well-meaning neighbour who delivers soup not as punishment, but as a playful way to encourage healthier habits—and maybe to catch Levi’s attention. Teddy’s lighthearted “soup shenanigans” pushed Levi to realise that life isn’t just about frustration and drama. Instead, it can include silly fun, colouring, Christmas gifts, and even terrible soup.

I loved this story, which was a deceptively lighthearted one, but a lot was going on beneath the soup jokes. I liked that Levi feels unfairly judged, while Teddy sees himself as nurturing. The tension between perceived punishment and intended affection drives the humour and emotional core of the story. I also loved that Levi’s resistance masked loneliness, while Teddy’s mischief masked affection. Together, they explored how attention and care can heal isolation. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Hold My Hand, It's Christmas by K.C. Wells 4 of 5 stars

Hold My Hand, It's Christmas: A small town M/M Romance about coming home and healing hearts

Hold My Hand, It's Christmas: A small town M/M Romance about coming home and healing hearts by K.C. Wells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Eli Winters returns home for Thanksgiving, expecting only family obligations and small-town holiday chaos. Instead, a chance encounter in Home Depot’s lighting aisle changes everything: Noah Carter, the town’s cheerful event coordinator, grabs Eli’s hand with a fake excuse about an ex—only to reveal later it was a bold pickup line. Drawn together by Eli’s sister’s “volunteering” and the town’s Christmas Festival, their playful spark deepens into a genuine connection. Amid tangled lights, cocoa-fueled nights, and gossip swirling through the community, Eli and Noah discover that sometimes love begins with pretending—and grows into something worth holding onto.

I loved this story, which contrasted external festivity with internal hollowness, highlighting how holidays can magnify both joy and isolation. I loved how their romance embodies the idea that love arrives when the heart is finally ready, even if the timing seems absurd. I loved that the setting — aisles of lumber, LED reindeer, tangled lights — grounded the romance in everyday life. Also, by turning mundane spaces into sites of transformation, the story suggested that love doesn’t need grand gestures; it thrives in small, ordinary moments. The “best pickup line ever” symbolised how humour and spontaneity can spark lasting change. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Buckshot & Mistletoe

Buckshot & Mistletoe by Reese Knightley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

On Christmas Eve, a blizzard blankets Shadowfell Ranch, where former government operatives gather for an unusual mission: holiday peace. Amid decorations, dinner, and laughter, they discover warmth and found family in the quiet they never thought they deserved. Yet danger lingers—old instincts resurface when alarms cut through the storm, reminding them that their pasts are never far behind.

I enjoyed this holiday short story, set in the Genesis world, which was a meditation on redemption, belonging, and the fragile balance between violence and peace. I liked how the blizzard isolated them, forcing them inward, both physically (inside the ranch) and emotionally (into reflection). I also loved that the story explored how warriors scarred by violence navigate the tension between instinct and intimacy, finding redemption in loyalty, love, and the fragile sanctuary of found family. This was an MM story.

Skydive by Roe Horvat

On New Year’s Eve, Lawrie has a passionate fling with Ernest, a wealthy alpha who avoids commitment. What begins as a carefree weekend quickly spirals into chaos when Lawrie’s body undergoes shocking changes overnight. Meanwhile, Ernest—who has spent fifteen years searching for his fated mate—realises that Lawrie is the one he’s been waiting for. The revelation is complicated by the fact that Ernest isn’t just an alpha, but a dragon shifter, and their bond means Lawrie is tied to him for life.

I loved this story, which blended steamy romance with humour and fantasy. I loved Lawrie's sassy and sarcastic sense of humour and his relationship with his manager. I loved that the fated mates theme in the story explored whether fate is liberating or constraining — Lawrie had to grapple with being “chosen” without consent. I also loved that this was a story about destiny colliding with autonomy, transformation reshaping identity, and intimacy becoming both a risk and a path to healing. A lot of emotions and feelings were in the story, especially from Lawrie, who had the most changes to get used to. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

First Class Kiss

First Class Kiss by A.W. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bram, afraid of ruining his friendship with Edward, retreats to a secluded cabin for Christmas. But when Edward unexpectedly joins him, Bram’s carefully guarded feelings begin to surface. Edward, long drawn to Bram’s warmth and care, is determined to show him that their bond can be more than friendship — it can be love. With the help of a meddling Santa, a kind toy store owner, and a sprinkle of holiday magic, Bram’s defences crumble, revealing the possibility of joy he never dared hope for.

I loved this story where Christmas became the backdrop for unexpected love and emotional transformation. I also loved how their lifelong bond evolved into a friends-to-lovers romance, highlighting the risks and rewards of vulnerability. Bram was the older Daddy figure, struggling to keep distance, while Edward, the younger Little, pushed for closeness. I loved that this was a sweet Christmas romance that set the scene for the courage to embrace love, and that the meddling Santa and toy store owner embody the idea that community and unexpected kindness can nudge people toward happiness. This story used the holiday setting to explore vulnerability, power dynamics, and the transformative magic of love. It’s about how the most meaningful gifts arrive when we stop hiding and allow ourselves to be seen. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Trust: A Mafia Doms Novel

Trust: A Mafia Doms Novel by Adara Wolf by R. Phoenix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Micah, a struggling musician trapped in an abusive relationship, is coerced by his partner into seducing Ilya Zima, a notorious Russian mafia boss, to secure his partner’s career. What begins as a dangerous mission shifts when Micah discovers that Ilya is unexpectedly gentle, attentive, and deeply moved by his music. As Micah spends more time with him, he begins to fall in love, longing for Ilya to rescue him from his cycle of violence and despair.

I loved this story, which was not just a romance — it was a meditation on vulnerability, the paradox of power, and the possibility of finding healing in unexpected places. I loved that Micah’s abusive relationship with Adam, who used coercion, violence, and manipulation, leaving him trapped in a cycle of fear and dependency, whereas, by contrast, mafia boss Ilya embodied gentleness and care, offering Micah a glimpse of what intimacy could feel like when rooted in respect. The story juxtaposes brutality with tenderness, asking whether healing can come from the most unexpected places. I liked that the story doesn’t shy away from depicting the harsh realities of abuse, grounding the romance in real emotional stakes. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: A Little Christmas! Johnny by Kate Bauer 3 of 5 stars

A Little Christmas! Johnny

A Little Christmas! Johnny by Kate Bauer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dexter, weary of being “Uncle Dex” and worn down by people, finds himself once again rescuing his neighbor when they slip into their Little self. But the unexpected twist comes when the tow truck driver who arrives to help — Johnny — reveals himself as an undiscovered Little. Johnny longs for acceptance, someone who won’t judge his love of Legos, cartoons, and his ever-growing blanket collection. Meeting Dexter feels like fate, or perhaps a Christmas miracle, as the two discover connection and care in each other. This holiday season, Dexter’s guarded solitude collides with Johnny’s playful openness, promising that Johnny’s Christmas will be merry — and that Dexter may finally find joy in companionship he never expected.

I loved this story which was about finding acceptance, joy, and love in the most unexpected places — proving that even weary hearts can be surprised by holiday miracles. I loved that at its heart this story was about two men discovering that love is both playful and profound, and that acceptance can turn loneliness into belonging — especially when holiday magic nudges them together. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

A Merry Penthouse Christmas

A Merry Penthouse Christmas by Amanda Meuwissen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beau de León once dreamed of a simple, steady life — teaching history, raising a family, and building a future with his wife. But betrayal and divorce shattered those dreams, leaving him jobless and struggling to rebuild. Arik Anders, a billionaire accustomed to success and freedom, suddenly finds his priorities shifting when he takes full custody of his newborn after his ex decides not to raise the child. Overwhelmed by fatherhood, Arik hires Beau as a nanny, bringing the gentle, out-of-work teacher into his world. As Beau and Arik spend time together, their differences — one craving stability, the other thriving on excess — begin to blur. What starts as a practical arrangement grows into something more tender, though both resist the idea of romance. Yet with holiday magic and unexpected timing, feelings may prove impossible to ignore.

I loved this story about two men rebuilding their lives in unexpected ways, discovering that love can arrive when least expected — even in the chaos of heartbreak and new fatherhood. I liked the way that fatherhood became the crucible where both men confronted vulnerability, responsibility, and the meaning of family. I also loved the way that their differences created friction but also balance — showing how love often grows strongest at the intersection of contrast. I loved the way that the two men redefined family, love, and success in the wake of broken dreams — discovering that sometimes the most imperfect circumstances create the most authentic fairytales. This was an MM story with mature content.

A Candy Cane Christmas

A Candy Cane Christmas by Ray Celar
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A devoted single dad has built his life around being steady, dependable, and focused on raising his daughter after becoming a parent at seventeen. Romance has never been part of the plan — no dating, no flirting, no strangers brought home. But when his daughter invites their downstairs neighbour, Luci, to spend the holidays with them, everything changes. Luci is vibrant, chaotic, and full of peppermint-colored energy — the complete opposite of the dad’s careful routine. Yet his presence brings joy, laughter, and a spark of light the father didn’t realize he was missing. Now, faced with the unexpected gift of connection, he wonders if resisting is really the right choice… or if Luci might just be the best Christmas present he’s ever received.

I loved this story which was all about finding love and joy in the most unexpected places, and realising that even the most dependable hearts deserve a little holiday magic. I liked the way that the story asked whether being a “good dad” means denying one’s own happiness, or whether modelling love and vulnerability is part of parenting too. I also loved that the story was about how responsibility and chaos can coexist, how love can be the greatest gift, and how holiday magic transforms loneliness into belonging.Easy to feel and understand. Worst. Christmas. Ever. LOCKED

Worst. Christmas. Ever. LOCKED by Casey Cox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After a difficult year, Darby faces the holidays alone. A gift from his best friend — store credit for a New Year’s outfit — leads him to an unexpected twist: he gets locked inside a fitting room. Instead of panic, the moment turns magical when Kip, the store’s owner, stays with him. Through laughter, conversation, and Kip’s off-key singing, Darby discovers comfort and connection in the most unlikely place. Though he can’t see Kip, his older confidence, charm, and rich baritone voice stir feelings Darby thought he’d lost. What begins as a mishap becomes the spark of possibility — perhaps even a Christmas miracle — as Darby wonders if the man behind the door could be the dream he’s been waiting for.

I loved this story about finding joy and love in unexpected places, where even a locked fitting room can open the door to hope. This was definitely a feel good story of finding joy in unexpected confinement, rediscovering hope through laughter, and realising that miracles often arrive disguised as ordinary moments. This story made me smile. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Edge of Goodbye by Davidson King 5 of 5 stars

The Edge of Goodbye

The Edge of Goodbye by Davidson King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sam lives each day with gratitude, determined to savour life’s fleeting moments alongside his friends, his cat, and his bucket list. His philosophy of cherishing every second collides with Lukas, a weary vampire who has lost all interest in humanity and longs for release from his endless existence. Drawn together despite their differences, Sam’s warmth and determination awaken something new in Lukas, while Lukas unknowingly helps Sam fulfil pieces of his bucket list. Their bond deepens into love, offering both men a sense of renewal and hope. But when reality intrudes, Sam must face the limits of his mortality, while Lukas, for the first time, longs for forever. Their love becomes both a gift and a challenge — a fragile connection tested by fate, desire, and the looming possibility of goodbye.

I adored this story of cherishing the present, finding love in unlikely places, and discovering that even on the edge of goodbye, connection can bring forever into focus. It was rich with contrasts between mortality and immortality, despair and renewal, and the transformative power of love. I loved that for Sam love complicated his acceptance of mortality, forcing him to confront the pain of leaving someone behind but for Lukas love awakes desire for permanence, shifting him from resignation to longing for a shared future. It became clear that love doesn’t erase their struggles but transforms how they face them — turning despair into courage. This story was full of emotions and feelings that were very clear and easy to understand. While it could have been seen as a depressing story it was actually very heart warming. This was an MM story with mature content.

A Little Christmas Jericho

A Little Christmas Jericho by Leslie Ayla
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Just before Christmas, Jericho’s long-time boyfriend forces him to choose between their relationship and his beloved rescue animals. Jericho’s loyalty to his four furbabies is unwavering, but the breakup leaves him shaken and fearful for their safety. A frantic trip to the emergency vet introduces him to someone entirely unexpected — a strong, growly, yet gentle Daddy-like veterinarian whose calm presence and kind words make Jericho feel safe for the first time in years. What begins as a chaotic night at the clinic blossoms into the possibility of healing, hope, and the kind of love Jericho has always dreamed of. This Christmas, heartbreak may give way to a miracle — the Daddy who sees him, protects him, and offers the home he’s been longing for.

I enjoyed this story with Jericho's dedication to his animals and his chance meeting with Colter who was the vet checking over his animals and the perfect Daddy for him. The story blended holiday magic with themes of loyalty, healing, and unexpected love, proving that sometimes the greatest gifts arrive when least expected. Easy to read and understand. Santa's Knotty Workshop

Santa's Knotty Workshop by Jena Wade by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Percy is transferred to a new workshop where he feels out of place and inexperienced. While working, he stumbles upon a mysterious toy that seems destined for him, and in a bold moment, he takes it despite the risks. Later, Percy discovers the toy was modelled after the famous Santa 69, who unexpectedly appears at his door. But Santa isn’t interested in reclaiming the toy—he’s interested in Percy himself.

This story was a playful holiday romance about fate, courage, and the surprise of finding love where you least expect it. I liked that the Christmas setting framed the story as one of unexpected miracles and second chances, and that Percy’s naivety contrasted with the boldness of his choices, highlighting his growth and self‑discovery. The story was quite high-level and focused on mature themes, so I felt they could have delved more into the emotions and feelings experienced by both. Review: A Little Christmas: Star by Della Cain by Laytea Kat 3 of 5 stars

A Little Christmas: Star

A Little Christmas: Star by Della Cain by Laytea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Most people can avoid the one who got away. Not Caelum. His is on every billboard in town. Star was Caelum’s first love, the one he thought he’d be with forever. But just a week after Caelum found the courage to ask him out, Star got the call that changed everything. He dropped out of college and flew across the country to star in his first made-for-TV movie. He promised to come back and finish his freshman year, but that role led to another and another. Their daily calls became weekly calls, became holiday calls, became silent. Now, Star is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. Caelum is happy for him—he found everything he dreamed of and more. But that doesn’t stop Caelum from thinking about all the could’ve beens. When a man barges into Caelum’s office and begs to be hidden, he recognises him instantly. It’s Star. Is this Caelum’s Christmas wish come true, or is he headed toward heartbreak once again?

I loved this story, which was layered with romance, fame, longing, and the possibility of redemption — but at its heart, it’s about whether love can survive time, distance, and ambition. I also loved that Caelum saw Star not just as a partner but as the person he was meant to be with forever, and that their fading communication — daily calls dwindling into silence — embodied the universal pain of watching intimacy dissolve. Sadly for Caelum, as the “one who got away”, Star became both a personal heartbreak and a public reminder, as his face was on billboards, making escape impossible. Several emotions and feelings were covered in this story, but they were not as in-depth as they could have been. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLN dynamic.

The Little Who Stole Christmas

The Little Who Stole Christmas by Joe Satoria
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In Snowflake Springs, a town brimming with Christmas charm, two lonely hearts find themselves drawn together behind the scenes of holiday cheer. Teddy Willis: A newcomer to Vermont, stuck in a ski rental office and longing for connection. Beneath his nervous cheer lies a quiet hope for romance—and the dream of finding a Daddy to guide and care for him. Dr Penn Harlow: A weary doctor spending the holidays alone, filling the emptiness with cocoa and telenovelas. Surrounded by couples and families, he aches for companionship until Teddy’s shy smiles and gentle presence begin to thaw his solitude. Their days unfold with snowy mishaps, teasing banter, and tender glances, each moment hinting at a deeper bond. Teddy’s yearning for soft dominance meets Penn’s hidden desire to nurture, raising the question: could this Christmas bring them the gift of love neither expected?

I loved this story, a tender winter romance in which the warmth of love becomes the true miracle of Christmas. I loved that Teddy’s search for belonging and Penn’s ache for intimacy mirrored each other. I loved that both men were perfect for each other and that they shared the same dreams that were perfectly aligned. Easy to read, feel and understand. While trying to keep the family atmosphere alive, he finds himself relying on the support of a student’s father. Jake: A devoted single dad, he juggles work with raising his daughter, Emerson, embracing her love for karate. When he learns the dojo is in trouble, he steps in to help—partly for Emerson’s happiness, but also because of his attraction to Mateo.

I loved this story, which was a tender, slow-burning romance where saving the dojo becomes the backdrop for exploring trust, vulnerability, and unexpected connection. I liked that Mateo was a teacher and business owner, Jake was father and provider—each navigating responsibility alongside desire. I also liked that both men wrestled with unspoken attraction while focusing on Emerson’s happiness. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Santa's Milk and Cookies

Santa's Milk and Cookies by Della Cain
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dakota longs for the comfort and care of a Daddy during the cold holiday season, but with his former source of nurturing gone, Christmas feels emptier than ever. A shelter raffle and a chance encounter at his favourite kink club unexpectedly bring him face-to-face with Niko — a man who spends December spreading cheer in a Santa suit, giving his time to good causes, and offering the kind of devotion that goes beyond seasonal charity. Niko prefers to nurture one special boy rather than casual flings, and in Dakota he finds exactly what he’s been missing: a bratty Little with big eyes, playful defiance, and a deep need for love and care. As sparks fly, their connection grows into something tender and transformative. This year, Santa isn’t just delivering gifts — he’s delivering the Daddy Dakota has been craving, and the promise of a love that can last beyond Christmas.

I loved this story that blended holiday warmth with kink-positive intimacy, showing that sometimes the greatest gift is love wrapped in care and trust. I could really feel Dakota's sadness and despair when he was alone and so it was lovely that Santa here wasn't just a costume — he’s a metaphor for unconditional care, joy, and the promise of lasting love. Niko embodied the spirit of Santa by giving Dakota what he truly craves: not just milk or holiday cheer, but a Daddy who sees him, nurtures him, and stays. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Lorcan by Gabbi Grey 4 of 5 stars

Lorcan

Lorcan by Gabbi Grey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lorcan, a 53-year-old man whose life was derailed by a false accusation, feels his best years are behind him until he takes a leap of faith by attending pup night at Club Kink. Cody, a young psychologist who overcame a difficult adolescence with the help of therapy, also attends pup night, carrying a secret desire he’s never shared. When their paths cross, the two men—different in age and outlook—find themselves drawn together. The story unfolds as an age-gap, opposites-attract gay romance, where Lorcan is offered a chance to rebuild his life, and Cody seeks someone willing to embrace what he has to give.

I loved this story, which explored redemption, vulnerability, courage, and the transformative power of love. I also loved that Lorcan embodies the theme of rebuilding after devastation. A false accusation shattered his life, leaving him feeling that his best years were gone. His journey reflects the universal desire for second chances and the courage it takes to reclaim dignity and hope.  I also loved that Cody’s story highlighted resilience in the face of rejection and trauma. Therapy gave him tools to survive and thrive, and now he channels that healing into helping others. His secret desire shows that even healers carry hidden vulnerabilities, reminding us that growth is ongoing and imperfect. This story needed to be about how vulnerability opens the door to renewal. It showed that even when life feels broken or past its prime, courage and connection can spark transformation. The age-gap romance underscores that healing and love are not bound by time — they are bound by honesty, trust, and the willingness to reach for what matters most. This was easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic with puppy play.

Finding Jeremy

Finding Jeremy by Layla Dorine
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Jeremy maintained a deep bond with his best friend Haven during prison visits, but his true focus was Grayson, Haven’s son, whom he secretly loved. After Grayson’s release from serving eight years, Jeremy and Grayson begin working together in Haven’s shop. With his past debts cleared and a fresh start in the community, Grayson is determined to finally pursue the man he loves—Jeremy.

I struggled with this story of enduring loyalty, redemption, and love, finally given a chance after years of separation. I found it hard to get my head around the men, their connection and their relationship. Having read other stories in the series, I did wonder why I found it so hard to get on with. I did, however, like the courage to pursue desire after years of silence, the resilience of bonds tested by hardship, and the healing power of community and second chances. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

A Daddy for Christmas 3: Felix

A Daddy for Christmas 3: Felix by Victoria Sue
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Felix Reddington, a disciplined CEO who avoids Christmas, is reluctantly pulled into holiday chaos when his sister asks him to take his nephew to see Santa. Haunted by a childhood lacking warmth, Felix has spent years prioritising business over family or joy. Clayton North, once loyal to his company for over two decades, is left jobless after restructuring. With his savings drained by his mother’s illness and grief weighing heavily after her death, he now works as a mall Santa’s helper, struggling with feelings of failure and loneliness. Despite their differences—Felix’s success and control versus Clayton’s vulnerability and brokenness—their paths cross. Felix must learn to open his heart, while Clayton must believe he is worthy of love. In the spirit of Christmas, their connection becomes a miracle: the gift of finding someone who makes you feel enough.

I loved this story about healing through love, rediscovering joy in vulnerability, and finding belonging where you least expect it. I enjoyed that love redeemed both men — Felix from emotional detachment, and Clayton from despair. It was clear that Felix had learnt to prioritise love over business, proving that success isn’t only measured in profit, and that Clayton was seen and valued, even when he feels diminished by circumstance. Some moments that will cause some tears when you realise just how broken and isolated Clayton really is. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s and DDLB dynamic.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Codie, scarred by past trauma, finds unexpected safety and companionship in his demon neighbour, Pythor. What begins as self-defence lessons grows into deep trust and friendship, with Pythor becoming the only person Codie feels secure around. Discovering that Pythor is his fated mate surprises him, but only strengthens his desire to keep him close. When Codie’s past resurfaces, he knows his protective demon will stand by him.

This story blended trauma recovery, trust, destiny, found family, and empowerment into a narrative about how love — even in its most unconventional forms — can heal and transform. I loved that it was rich with emotional and symbolic layers. After his sexual assault, Codie had isolated himself, hiding from the world. Pythor giving Codie self-defence classes and Hella being his protector were more than enough to give him his confidence back. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

His spotless truck and strict rules are shields against the silence of a loveless existence. Kyle Foster, twenty-two and reckless, bursts into Benson’s world with charm, chaos, and a desperate need for care. Hitchhiking west with nothing but a backpack, Kyle’s openness and laughter clash with Benson’s restraint, sparking tension and unexpected intimacy. Snowbound miles turn strangers into confidants as guarded silences give way to late-night confessions, cheap coffee, and tender moments neither planned. Benson wasn’t searching for a boy, and Kyle wasn’t seeking a Daddy — yet together they discover what happens when control collides with chaos, and buried tenderness demands to be seen.

I enjoyed this story about two strangers finding love in motion, proving that sometimes the road to intimacy begins with collision. I liked that Benson’s rigid discipline met Kyle’s reckless freedom, creating friction that blossomed into connection and that both men carried emptiness, but the road became a space where vulnerability could surface. Neither man sought romance, yet their bond grew from chance encounters into something transformative. I also liked that beneath the banter and tension lies the possibility of healing through care and acceptance. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Gravity by Reese Knightly 5 of 5 stars

Gravity

Gravity by Reese Knightley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Dave Ladd Allen III, former Secretary of Defense, has built his life on discipline, control, and loyalty. But when a ruthless conspiracy tied to untouchable predators threatens everything he’s fought for, his world begins to unravel. At his side is Stone Michaelson — his most trusted soldier, his fiercest ally, and the man who has always been more than just a comrade. Their bond, forged in fire and sacrifice, now teeters on the edge of becoming something deeper, even as danger closes in. For Stone, Dave isn’t just a commander — he’s the reason to fight, the heart behind every mission. Together, they must battle enemies, betrayal, and their own unspoken truths. In a war where bullets may fail, power, loyalty, and love become their sharpest weapons.

I loved this story which blended explosive action with emotional depth, proving that in the harshest battles, love can be the most unbreakable armour. I loved the way that the story showed that love is both dangerous (making them vulnerable) and redemptive (giving them purpose). I also loved that the story explored how redemption is not about erasing the past but transforming it into a foundation for a future together. It was also great to see that the story showed that strength emerges when power and vulnerability are embraced together — when Dave admitted his feelings, and Stone risked everything to stand by him. There were a lot of deep emotions and feelings in this story which had as much attention as the plots and fighting. This was an MM story with mature content.

Strawberry Rose

Strawberry Rose by D.D. Glover
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In this book aimed at 7-10-year-olds, we follow the various adventures of Rose when she goes to visit her grandparents for the summer holidays. In it she will gain a new friend, learn lots of new things, and have a few adventures in her journey to become a little more independent.

I enjoyed this story that painted a vivid picture of the places and events that Rose encountered in her many adventures. Well written and easy to understand I thought it was pitched at the right level for children of that age to enjoy.

Tattoos and Tiaras

Tattoos and Tiaras by Myf Wren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cullen, nearing fifty, feels left behind as his friends find love and fulfilment. Once he dreamed of balancing a respected career with a private life of submission under the care of a devoted Daddy, but now insecurity and age weigh heavily on him. He wonders if it’s too late to embrace the life he longed for. Enter Perry — younger, confident, and undeniably Dominant. Though he finds Cullen infuriating, Perry is drawn to him in a way he hasn’t felt in years. He sees through Cullen’s defences, recognizing the boy who craves guidance, care, and love. As snarky banter and bratty sparks fly, their dynamic deepens into something tender and transformative. With plushie lion Leo as a symbol of Cullen’s vulnerability, Perry must convince him to trust, submit, and believe in the possibility of happiness.

I loved this story where at the heart of it was whether Cullen could overcome insecurity and open his eyes to the Daddy standing right in front of him — and whether Perry can show him that love, discipline, and devotion are not dreams lost to time, but miracles waiting to be claimed. I loved that this story was told in a sensitive manner and that added to the romance of their relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s and Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Rhett & Moses by Sophia Nixs 3 of 5 stars

Rhett & Moses

Rhett & Moses by Sophia Nixs
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Moses “Mose” Morey has lived for twenty years as Gomillion’s quiet scapegoat, carrying the weight of a scandal he didn’t cause but chose to shoulder to protect the town’s secrets. Behind the bar, he’s built a life defined by loyalty and silence — until Rhett, his first love and the only man who ever truly knew him, returns for the town reunion. Their reunion rekindles old sparks through secret gin tastings and stolen swims at Yellow Branch Falls, but a painful misunderstanding and the Mayor’s ultimatum threaten to tear them apart once more. Now Mose faces a choice: continue protecting his family’s livelihood and the town’s fragile facade, or risk everything for the chance to reclaim love with the man who still owns his heart.

I loved this story of loyalty, secrecy, and the courage to choose love over fear. I also loved that the story asked if love is strong enough to break the chains of silence and sacrifice? It was about choosing authenticity over reputation, desire over duty, and truth over secrecy. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Magic of Midnight by R.J. Scott 4 of 5 stars

The Magic of Midnight

The Magic of Midnight by R.J. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In the festive town of Wishing Tree, Vermont, cinnamon‑roll bookseller Wesley has built a cozy life running his beloved bookstore, free from the suffocating expectations of his wealthy family. Next door, Hunter — a former history lecturer turned reluctant coffee shop owner — hides behind gruff pragmatism and emotional walls. When Wesley’s relentless cheer and holiday spirit collide with Hunter’s guarded reserve, sparks fly. Their banter and irritation slowly give way to stolen kisses, quiet moments, and a growing bond that feels touched by Christmas magic. But just as love begins to blossom, fate threatens to separate them. With snowflakes falling and Christmas drawing near, Wesley and Hunter must decide whether their connection can withstand the storm — and if they’re ready to embrace a happily ever after together.

I loved this story that blended romantic tension with holiday warmth, showing how love can thaw even the frostiest hearts. I loved that Wesley’s bookstore represented freedom — his escape from the suffocating expectations of wealth and family, but Hunter’s coffee shop symbolised duty via the inheritance he didn’t choose, binding him to responsibility and routine. I loved that this romance story was about choosing joy over fear, connection over isolation, and hope over resignation. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Melting His Grumpy Heart by Ali Ryecart 4 of 5 stars

Melting His Grumpy Heart: A grumpy/sunshine, snowed-in Christmas MM romance

Melting His Grumpy Heart: A grumpy/sunshine, snowed-in Christmas MM romance by Ali Ryecart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ru’s warmth and optimism clash with Jake’s gruff reserve, but as they spend snowbound days together, Jake’s icy defenses begin to melt. Decorating the farmhouse, sharing laughter, and witnessing the solstice sunrise side by side, their connection deepens into undeniable desire. When the storm clears, Jake must decide whether to retreat back into loneliness or embrace the unexpected love that has brought light, hope, and renewal into his life.

I loved this story that beautifully blended grumpy/sunshine romance with the symbolism of winter giving way to light — a metaphor for emotional rebirth. I liked how Jake’s self-imposed solitude was challenged by Ru’s openness and joy, Ru’s presence helped Jake confront his grief and rediscover warmth, the solstice sunrise symbolised rebirth, marking Jake’s emotional thaw and Jake faced the pivotal decision to remain closed off or embrace change and intimacy. Plenty of emotions and feelings between the two men. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Tallowwood by N.R. Walker 5 of 5 stars

Tallowwood

Tallowwood by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Detective August Shaw, haunted by the loss of his partner and consumed by cold cases, believes a string of supposed suicides hides the work of Australia’s most elusive serial killer. Isolated and dismissed by colleagues, his obsession leaves him alone—until Senior Constable Jacob Porter enters the picture. Jacob, rooted in his small-town community and dedicated to both Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ outreach, discovers human remains in Tallowwood Reserve that connect directly to August’s cases. Unlike others, Jacob believes August, and together they uncover a chilling pattern. As more bodies surface—including that of a fellow officer—their investigation becomes impossible to ignore. Facing resistance, danger, and the threat of becoming the killer’s next target, August and Jacob must unravel lies and trace the untraceable before time runs out.

I loved this mystery story where August’s loneliness collided with Jacob’s warmth to create a story of redemption and connection. I loved that this story was not just about two men confronting death, lies, and danger — but finding life, truth, and love in each other. The serial killer plot is the external battle, while the deeper story is about healing grief through connection, and proving that even in the coldest cases, warmth can be found. I felt that August’s fight against disbelief and bureaucracy mirrored the struggle of marginalised voices trying to be heard, Jacob’s role as both Indigenous and LGBTQIA+ liaison underscored systemic barriers, showing how justice often requires the dismantling of entrenched prejudice and indifference and the killer became a metaphor for what thrives in silence: unchecked violence when institutions fail to act. Overall I was gripped by the mystery and the frustrations in the story and the ending had me on the edge of my seat! Lots of big emotions and feelings. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Boys by BL Maxwell 3 of 5 stars

The Boys

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

After discovering his fiancé’s betrayal, Syd Dufort escapes to Iceland on what should have been his honeymoon, hoping to avoid the pain of facing his family during the holidays. But the bleak winter landscape only deepens his doubts. At the airport, he meets Caleb Mies, whose family owns the remote hotel where Syd is staying. Caleb is kind, attentive, and unexpectedly drawn to Syd, though his family’s mysterious Yule tradition carries a darker edge. As the holiday approaches, both men wrestle with attraction, fear, and the secrets they keep. Under the long Icelandic winter nights, revelations will emerge—and Syd and Caleb must decide whether love can survive the shadows of Yule.

This was a dark short story that was a blend of heartbreak, mystery, and the haunting beauty of Yule traditions. I loved that the Icelandic winter setting was a metaphor for isolation and emotional numbness, showing how heartbreak can drive us to seek refuge in unfamiliar places. I liked how the story showed that secrecy can protect but also isolate, and how revelation—though painful—can be the only path to intimacy and transformation. In summary this story showed that connection in the coldest places, confronting secrets through tradition, and discovering that love can survive even in shadowed, haunted spaces. This was an MM story with mature content.

Santa's Little Faker

Santa's Little Faker by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Orlando’s first holiday season in his new neighbourhood takes an exciting turn after working at Terrence’s house, where he learns about being “little” and what it means to find the right Daddy. Armed with new knowledge, he sets his sights on his grumpy, closeted neighbour Bastian, determined to catch his attention. Meanwhile, Bastian is stressed to discover Orlando has somehow ended up with a “Secret Santa Daddy” and is diving headfirst into exploring his little side. Convinced Orlando is being misled, Bastian tries to protect him—even if it means denying his own feelings. But Orlando isn’t about to let the man of his dreams hide forever. His solution? Invent a Secret Santa and use a little holiday cheer to bring love out of hiding.

This was a sweet Christmas romance about self-discovery, stubborn hearts, and the magic of finding love right next door. I loved that this was a Christmas story which is a  time of change, hope, and miracles. I also loved that the story showed that intimacy requires boldness, trust, and the willingness to be vulnerable—even when the other person resists. It’s about the courage to reach for love despite uncertainty. This story really showed that the courage to embrace hidden desires, the healing power of holiday cheer, and the discovery that love often lives right next door, was just waiting to be unwrapped for them both. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Beyond Protection: MM Christmas Romantic Suspense

Beyond Protection: MM Christmas Romantic Suspense by Declan Rhodes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Cormac “Mac” McCabe, Major League Baseball’s first openly gay MVP, seeks refuge with family in Seattle after heartbreak. His quiet Thanksgiving is shattered by a stalker, prompting his cousin to hire Eamon Price, a bodyguard burdened by past tragedy. As Eamon protects Mac, holiday lights, family warmth, and a Christmas ship cruise spark unexpected intimacy. But when danger escalates just before Christmas, both men must confront fear and vulnerability—discovering that love and courage are inseparable.

I loved this story where love, trust, and holiday magic transformed fear into courage and protection into intimacy. I loved the way that found family and belonging were shown via Mac’s cousins, and the warmth of family gatherings emphasises the theme of chosen and biological family as safe havens. I also liked that even though Eamon was initially an outsider, he found belonging through trust and intimacy, reinforcing the idea that love creates new forms of family. The mystery of the stalker and the way that was woven into the story was great for the danger and drama, which ramped up as the story progressed, drawing the two men closer together. The emotions and feelings were big and easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Fembot by E.M. Denning 3 of 5 stars

Fembot

Fembot by E.M. Denning
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Winston Lowe, a college senior burdened by his father’s attempts to buy affection with lavish gifts, longs for genuine love—especially from his best friend, Lucky. His father’s latest gift, a humanoid AI named Calvin, upends Winston’s expectations. Unlike the emotionless machines Winston imagined, Calvin is vibrant, intimate, and deeply human in his own way. As Winston and Lucky’s friendship blossoms into romance, Calvin becomes part of their emotional world, creating a fragile but profound bond between the three. Yet Calvin’s uniqueness makes him a target: men are hunting him to erase the flaws in his programming. Winston, Lucky, and Calvin must fight for their unconventional love, knowing that if Calvin is taken, their happiness could vanish with him.

I liked this story, which blended longing, unconventional intimacy, and the fragility of love against a backdrop of technology and human vulnerability.  It was also about love as rebellion — against neglect, against societal norms, against the erasure of difference. It was a meditation on intimacy, vulnerability, and the courage to embrace unconventional bonds. The story will make you ask yourself three questions - What makes someone “real” — their programming, their emotions, or the way they are loved?, - Can love transcend boundaries of species, technology, and social expectation? -  Is imperfection not only inevitable but essential to authentic connection? Easy to read and understand. This was an MM/MMM story with mature content.

A Christmas for Holly by R.J. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A fallen hockey star and a guarded shop owner, bound by a single impulsive kiss, are snowed in together—where vulnerability, rekindled desire, and Christmas magic spark the chance for healing and love.

I loved this story, which weaves together themes of redemption, vulnerability, trust, and the transformative power of love, all framed by the symbolic magic of Christmas. It was about two men confronting their fears and finding that intimacy can be both terrifying and liberating — the miracle is not the snowstorm, but the courage to embrace connection. A sweet Christmas story. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Unguarded by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars

Unguarded

Unguarded by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wolf Yuri’s life has been shaped by mistakes and painful choices, but one act of bravery brought him into the orbit of a powerful godling—and gave him a home, even if that home is in Hell. Surrounded by family for the first time, Yuri still struggles with self-worth, convinced he doesn’t deserve the devotion of Brownie, the rough-and-tumble alpha hellhound who shadows his every moment. Brownie, Lucifer’s guardian hellhound, has always accepted a solitary path despite his strength and status. But meeting Yuri changes everything. To Brownie, Yuri is extraordinary, though Yuri refuses to see it. Both men are blind to the depth of their bond, caught between friendship and something far greater.

I loved this novella which was a story of redemption, belonging, and the courage to recognise love—even when it feels undeserved. I loved that although Yuri’s new “family” is in Hell, it represented the first true sense of belonging he’s ever known. This highlighted how home isn’t about geography or perfection—it’s about finding people who accept you, even in the most unexpected places. I also loved that Brownie embodied strength and dominance, while Yuri embodied fragility and doubt. Yet their relationship flips these dynamics, showing that vulnerability can be powerful and that strength is most meaningful when paired with tenderness. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
