First Class Kiss

First Class Kiss by A.W. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Bram, afraid of ruining his friendship with Edward, retreats to a secluded cabin for Christmas. But when Edward unexpectedly joins him, Bram’s carefully guarded feelings begin to surface. Edward, long drawn to Bram’s warmth and care, is determined to show him that their bond can be more than friendship — it can be love. With the help of a meddling Santa, a kind toy store owner, and a sprinkle of holiday magic, Bram’s defences crumble, revealing the possibility of joy he never dared hope for.

I loved this story where Christmas became the backdrop for unexpected love and emotional transformation. I also loved how their lifelong bond evolved into a friends-to-lovers romance, highlighting the risks and rewards of vulnerability. Bram was the older Daddy figure, struggling to keep distance, while Edward, the younger Little, pushed for closeness. I loved that this was a sweet Christmas romance that set the scene for the courage to embrace love, and that the meddling Santa and toy store owner embody the idea that community and unexpected kindness can nudge people toward happiness. This story used the holiday setting to explore vulnerability, power dynamics, and the transformative magic of love. It’s about how the most meaningful gifts arrive when we stop hiding and allow ourselves to be seen. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
