Review: Her Alien Enemy by Presley Hall 4 of 5 stars

Her Alien Enemy (Voxeran Fated Mates #8)

Her Alien Enemy by Presley Hall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ivy wants the same as her friends who have a mate bond with Voxeran warriors but so far it has not happened. In the meantime, as the Voxeran people are her people too she is determined to do what she can to support Droth retake power from his evil uncle. So she volunteers to join a small group to do some reconnaissance in and around the palace. When something goes wrong and the scouting party is almost discovered she puts herself into danger to try and protect all of the others by creating a distraction so she can be taken by the palace guards. They have no idea what t do with her as she is a Terran on their planet but the Voxeran who arrives to sort it out causes her chest to lurch because she recognises those piercing blue eyes - it is Kardax, Droth's brother. How could the universe be so cruel as to decide that their enemy is her fated mate?

I loved this final book in the series. Ivy was strong, sassy and very clever and her distraction was a masterstroke. She found out whatever she could in preparation for helping Droth while at the same time she was falling more in love with her mate. I loved the way that she found a way for her to get Kardax to see that he had been deceived and that their uncle was the evil one (and lazy as he seemed to be all about his own pleasure and delegating everything else to Kardax). In the end, everything worked out for the best and everyone had a HEA. I'm just sad that the series has ended. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
