47-year-old widow Jillian Osborn knows that she will not find love twice in her life but can't help but drool after a handsome widower and black bear shifter Tim Jacobs. What is has no clue about is that he has been lusting after her to0. This is all made harder for them both as their daughters are best friends. When the girls plan to do a joint holiday dinner for both families Tim is determined to stay away for both of their sakes, but when Jillian knocks on his door demanding an explanation it is all his human side can do to stop his bear from staking a claim for her. Will they both get the present that they want for Christmas?
This was a sweet short story that had all the requisite ingredients of a denied attraction, guilt, danger, drama and sweet declarations of love (with some hot sex). It was easy to read and you didn't need to have read the previous books in the associated series. Contains explicit sexual content.
