Review: When Silver Met Gold by Kounj Muzafar 3 of 5 stars

When Silver Met Gold

When Silver Met Gold by Kounj Muzafar
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Musca Stuart was educated in the US but after college, she discovered her mother had recently died in Pakistan so she goes there to live in her house and study for her master's degree. When she meets golden-eyes Aaliyan Haider she is instantly attracted to him and soon falls deeply in love with him. This is a story of her time in Pakistan, her experiences of dating and relationships, family secrets and dynamics, plus her deeper understanding of her Muslim faith.

Definitely not my usual kind of book and although I found it fascinating and very educational, her constant inner dialogue became really annoying and made her sound as if she had multiple personality disorder. I did love that there was a happy ending (finally) but to get there was a bit painful. A descriptive writing style, easy to understand. A good clean book with no sexual content.

Book obtained via Kindle Unlimited.
