Review: Heath by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Heath (Hathaway House #8)

Heath by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Heath Jorgenson is thrilled at getting a transfer to Hathaway House and is anxious to fix the multiple injuries that sidelined him. Rest is important for recovery but his body is not willing and when he tried drugs his body rejects them. The conclusion is that his determination is worth little when his body is not cooperating. Then he gets respite from the strangest of sources - the sound of the hall floor being mopped each night. Hailee Cisco is grateful for the part-time job washing floors at Hathaway House. When Dani offers her a full-time job she is delighted to just have the one job. Then she realises that it is having an effect on Heath's sleeping pattern.

I really enjoyed this story which had lots about grief, coping with it, finding a way to move on when you are ready as well as how to build a firm foundation for friendship. I loved that they were definitely friends way before they had any interest in each other romantically. Easy to read and get swept away into their stories and the events happening around them. Will definitely make you smile at the end when the relationship you were so hoping for becomes real.
