My rating: 2 of 5 stars
Wolf shifter Jack has been alone since he was 19 when something killed his entire pack. When out hunting in wolf form he is hit by a car. William runs his family's apple orchard in a small town in the Catskill Mountains when he finds and rescues a dog which has been hit by a car and left for dead. As soon as he returns home he realises that it is actually a wolf but even with the danger he can't send the poor thing away. At first, Jack is unable to shift into his human form which is just as well as William has no idea that shifters exist but both of them and drawn to each other. Can they overcome their challenges and discover the love they’ve both been dreaming about?
I enjoyed this story although it did leave me a little cold and did not pull me into it as much as I expected. I liked the fated mates premise, the attraction between them and the surprise that William felt when he met the human Jack. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content which is an MM ABO an age gap story where there was a happily ever after.
