After losing her police officer husband and Daddy CC Callaway throws herself into creating CC's Purrfect Coffee which combines her love of coffee and affection for cats to keep her broken heart full and her mind busy. Dr Hunter Warren first saw CC in Blaze and can't stop thinking about her and so when he sees her in his ER his Daddy instincts kick in. He is unable to resist his attraction to her and his desire to protect her and so drops by her cafe to make sure she is feeling better. Will his cupcake offering be the beginning of something even sweeter for them?
I really enjoyed this story with the strong and protective Daddy doctor who could not resist his need to care for and protect CC while doing everything he could to persuade her that it was time for her to take chance on him. I loved the gentleness of Hunter and the way he ignore his own needs in order to care for CC. I loved the ending too. Contains mature content and a DDLG relationship.
