Review: Hammer by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars

Hammer (Caged and Dangerous, #7)

Hammer by Milly Taiden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dragon shifter Hammer Vykovsky is in Supermax for a crime he didn't commit and is given a chance at freedom if he goes on a mission to retrieve Charlie Jackson who had been working on a site documenting the remains and artefacts that had been found. Having found her it became apparent that she was his mate, his dragon wanted her, but he could see no reason as to why she would want him as she was so smart and independent with a future. Can he lower his walls enough for her to see the real him?

I loved this story with the original danger to Charlie, the escape and the twists and turns as they moved towards their pickup point. Their relationship developed as Charlie was determined to find out more about him and to understand him which fit well with her job and her personality. I was heartbroken when she had so many doubts and the way that her independence made sure that she went and did what was her career as well as her passion but thankfully Hammer and her Dad were able to have a way that they could be together. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains some mature content.

I received a free review copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
