Elliot is left without a job or a plan for what is next but luckily his best friend's father is there for him with advice and whipped cream-topped pancakes to make everything better. What James is not able to help him with is Elliot's feelings and how he longs to be so much more with him as he knows James would make the perfect Daddy. James has always been careful to keep the relationship between himself and Elliot innocent and friendly even if he is everything he wants in a man and sub. When he overhears a conversation between his son and Elliot he has to decide if he is ready to put everything on the line for Elliot.
I really enjoyed this story with the older man who did everything he could to keep everything as it should have been while being unaware of the long-term interest from Eliot. I loved the way that their long-standing friendship gave them a faster route to a deeper relationship because they had known and respected each other already. This is a short mature content MM story containing a BDSM DDLB relationship.
