Review: String of Tears by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

String of Tears (Psychic Visions #22)

String of Tears by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jewel wakes up in a hospital with no memory of what happened to her and with no reason as to why she was found on a highway dead. As a reawakening goes this one is brutal but even more confusing is the instinctive way she grasps for a missing necklace around her neck. Was she robbed, beaten and then dumped and why? She has few friends and fewer family members to care about her, but unlike his name Hurricane walks into her hospital room and becomes a safe harbour in a world that appears to have gone nuts. Hurricane was asked by Stefan to help Jewel and take possession of a necklace if it was seen as dangerous. He has seen a lot of crazy and dangerous things in his life but Jewel's current state is new to him. As the dangerous storm heightens around them, Hurricane’s task—keeping Jewel safe, as she tries to regain her memories and her sanity—slips even further away …

This was a complex case around a necklace and a jeweller called Jewel. I was fully into the complex story and the mystery that was surrounding her and it was only as it got near to the end that I finally realised what it was all about. It really was a good psychic story that drew me in as it remained a mystery right up to the end. I loved Hurricane and the way that he did everything he could to support her even when he was questioning her motives. Easy to read, feel and understand.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
