Veteran private detective Neil Patterson has seen just about everything but just give minutes with Little Sophie Bates and he knows he will risk everything to help her because she is his. Sophie is alone after her mother's death and knows that she has the beginnings of an investigation to right a wrong that needs to be corrected. Can Neil help her bring her stepfather to justice and after discovering that Daddies are real can she trust him enough to be hers?
I enjoyed this story with the evil stepfather, Sophie's loving mother who seems to have known how it was all going to end, and the dynamic between Neil and Sophie. It was nice to see these matches can fall into trouble but then be corrected which was a pleasant change to the usual instant love and quick result. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content and a BDSM DDLG relationship.
