Review: Wounded Soldiers Trilogy by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars

Wounded Soldiers Trilogy

Wounded Soldiers Trilogy by Milly Taiden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great value Trilogy of stories around how three wounded soldiers found love against the odds:

A Hero’s Pride

After one bad marriage and too many useless relationships, Kayla Santomas finally let her best friend set her up for a blind date thinking that dinner was all she had to get through. Ryan Mitchell lost part of his leg in Afghanistan and has lost interest in going on dates or even in being aroused. Finally, he agrees to a blind date arranged by his brother.

I enjoyed this story with the two wounded people finding that they were capable of being attracted to someone else and could even allow themselves to fall in love - but first they did need to actually try. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.

A Hero Scarred

Having gotten rid of one jerk of a man, Jessie Tavarez is not interested in finding another. So she gives in to going to stay on holiday as arranged by her friend Kayla. When there she has an unexpected first date with a soldier who has been physically scarred by war who then turns out to be the first man to make her realise not all men are the same. Matt Payne is an injured ex-serviceman who has been hiding his physical scars from his family and women who will just offer him sympathy. Discovering he has been set up finds him having dinner with the first woman he physically and emotionally connected with since his injuries.

I enjoyed this story with the two damaged people who may have made mistakes but actually were very compatible if they were to give themselves a chance. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.

A Hero For Sale

After being badly scarred and then dumped by his fiancee, Captain Nick Gates is not interested in being sold in a bachelor auction but unfortunately for him, it is happening. When he is won by Addy they both cannot fight their attraction but they cannot fight the fact that she is related to someone who he despises. Maybe they can focus on falling in love things will work themselves out, but of course, they will find out that in love and war everything goes.

This was a lovely story with a great twist in their history and what happens in the present. Everything could have gone badly wrong and so I was thrilled when everything actually did work out. Easy to read and understand, contains some mature content.
