My rating: 4 of 5 starsStudent Cooper Scott has no filter but dreams of opening his own preschool. His big plans for a successful future mean that falling for his dad’s best friend is NOT on the agenda. No worries, they’ll just keep it casual. Jesse Thompson is a widower and a new father at the age of fifty. He has coped up to now but the offer of help from his best friend’s son should have sent Jesse running. Instead, he finds himself in a predicament he’s spent his life avoiding. Do Cooper and Jesse end up in a heartbroken crash-and-burn situation? Or can love overcome all and give them a happily ever after?
I really enjoyed this story with the younger Cooper who is unable to filter and is impetuous and the cautious Jesse who is hesitant but then decides to throw all caution to the wind and see what can happen. I loved Hadley who was such a cutie and totally able to manipulate her grandfather who was having to be her daddy. Easy to read, feel and understand I was caught up in their story. This is a steamy, age-gap, bi-awakening, dad’s best friend MM romance.
