Clove now has a roof over his head and a job which all provides him with safety, security and food. But that all pales into insignificance when it comes to pleasing his boss Marcel who is way out of his league even though he desperately wants him. Accepting that he doesn't stand a chance he will have to accept earning his respect. When he gets his first solo job it all grinds to a halt when he finds a dead body. As soon as Marcel saw Clove he needed to be with him in every way - bringing him into the fold and offering him employment should have been enough but when his first job yields a dead body, missing money and criminal gangs he realises he will do anything to keep Clove alive. Both men are thrown together looking for answers With bullets flying, lives in the balance, and a future unknown, Marcel and Clove must face their feelings for one another. Tumbling into love isn’t easy, especially in their line of work, but they finally have what they want, and nothing in this world will stop them from keeping it.
I really enjoyed this story with the two men in love with each other gazing from afar until they stop ignoring it and give in to their desires. I loved the clear descriptions of the characters, the setting and the various faction who were involved. I loved the way that Clove was so friendly and able to disarm people as was shown repeatedly throughout the story. Marcel was definitely an alpha male who was determined to protect Clove and do whatever it took to care for him. Easy to read, feel and understand I was addicted to this story. This is an MM story with mature content.
