Deimos Uannsvo is the leader of the Zehvrd dragon clutch on Nova Aurora and he has a problem with his cattle ranch as the cows are becoming sick and he needs help. Hope Oliver is a veterinary assistant on Earth and Gerri has asked her to come to Nova Aurora to help diagnose the cattle problem. She is determined to focus on the cattle and not the sexy dragon man as she is not there for love and will go home when it is resolved. Deimos knows that Hope is his mate as soon as he meets her but he needs to focus on saving his ranch before he convinced Hope to stay with him.
I enjoyed this story with the mystery of who or what was poisoning the cows and whether would Deimos be able to romance Hope enough to persuade her to stay with him. The mystery and the danger was fun to trace through their thought processes and the final confrontations were suitably dramatic. The conclusion was a bit quick and instalove like even with the mate bond tinkering with Hope's feelings. It was easy to read and understand. Contains some light mature content.
