Opie was a stripper and in an app to connect boys and Daddies, he said that he deserved coal but he gave so much pleasure to men so surely that would count in his favour? He is tired of being with men who leave and just wants a Daddy to love him. Lawson is a down-on-his-luck rancher and is close to losing his place but against all logic, he wants Opie even though Opie has always had a "possessions over people" mentality in the past. Can they have a future together?
I'm torn on this story. Part of the story was really sweet with how Opie helped Lawson and how they were so very happy together, and part of it was really annoying with the whole behaviour at Lawson's father's house, the ease with which Opie jumped to conclusions and their total lack of communication (which flies in the face of any type of BDSM-like relationship which is all about communication). It was easy to read and understand. Contains mature MM content within a BDSM-like DDLB relationship.
