Omega Tanner is smart, wealthy and head over heels for his administrative assistant but he won't do anything about it as it feels like too big of a gamble. As an omega he is supposed to be family-oriented, a go-getter at work and equal in every way, not submissive as he would like to be. Alpha Shane is built like a tank, organised and passionate about making his boss's life easier. He is in love with Tanner but very careful to keep it tucked away because Tanner has never looked at Shane until secrets start coming to the surface. When everything is riding on one confession, is the risk just too much?
I loved this story with the two passionate men who were supposed to act a certain way according to modern conventions even though they wanted to be different. I loved that Shane learned everything he could in order to be and give Tanner what he needed and to become the perfect alpha for a submissive Tanner. I was relieved when The unsubtle hints from the other omegas and accidental notes in a pile of papers caused them to confess to each other. Easy to read, feel and understand it was impossible not to become involved and invested in their relationship so you felt the relief when they finally became a couple. Contains mature MM content with a BSDM-like D/s relationship with a non-shifter alpha/omega dynamic, edging, and spanking.
