Broken

Broken by Joe Satoria
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Atlas is a trained assassin who worked for a cartel but when they engineered the imprisonment of his boy Jasiel who is the love of his life he decides to put an end to the cartel's hold over him. Jasiel has done everything that his daddy told him to do, but now it is time for revenge and to follow his Daddy's order even if he has to do it with a stuffie in one hand and a slushie in the other. Apart from each other, Atlas and Jasiel are broken. Together they're an unstoppable force. One wrong move and they'll take everything. Just ask the Coronado Crime Family... if you can find their bodies.

I found this a difficult book to read. Yes at the centre of it was a Daddy and his boy, but there was a lot of violence, a lot of sex, a lot of wild behaviour by Jasiel and very little control of him by Atlas which didn't feel right. In the end, I lost my attention to the story even though there were a lot of important things there as it also looked at Jasiel's parentage and some plays for dominance amount other cartels. A difficult read. Contains a BDSM-like DDLB relationship, a lot of violence and murder.
