Reid lost everything - his home, Daddy, self-confidence and financial security. The man he thought he loved (and who loved him) piece by piece stripped it all away. Foster is the CEO of a busy hospital and does not need another distraction as he is prepared to sacrifice his own happiness to save lives. Then Reid is dumped in this office and the broken boy awakens the Daddy in Foster (something he thought was long buried). Foster won’t find happiness until he allows himself to lean on others, and for Reid to try again, he must first learn to stand on his own.
This was a lovely slow-burn love story as Foster helped Reid to build some self-confidence and to learn to function in the normal world. It was great the way he kept telling Reid that they were a partnership and that if he wanted to hold his hand he only had to ask. I loved the way that they both survived the bad things that happened to them and that with the help of some friends (some known and some not) that they were able to find their happiness together. A story to make you sigh as they finally were able to be together and be successful. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains MM mature content with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
