Desmond is CEO of McMillan Properties is a cold and driven businessman. Ryder moves back to the city to stop his gran from selling his childhood home and checking herself into a nursing home. Now Ryder is back he is not so sure and when she bids on a charity auction and wins him a date with Desmond he knows that she is up to something. When Desmond calls Ryder "good boy" then he feels real pleasure.
I enjoyed this short story about the billionaire who was too busy to realise he was a Daddy and a mechanic who needed to embrace his inner boy. There were links to characters from the author's other books but you didn't need to read them to enjoy this one. There were a few moments of self-knowledge or introspection but they needed a bit more detail. It was an enjoyable read and it was lovely to see how Desmond did everything he could to care for his boy. This MM story contains mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB relationship.
