Loren and Harrison are happily married but Harrison recognises that he is not giving Loren everything that he needs however, he is frightened that if he asked for everything that he wants it could ruin their relationship and marriage. Loren has a Daddy kink and is currently barely able to take his husband which makes him feel like a failure. Harrison feels unable to be the Daddy that Loren needs but then a crisis hits the art museum they built together which affects their annual fundraiser where they find they have to gamble on an unknown but talented sous chef Kody Chavez. Kody has played with couples before and burned every time but when he is hired to do the fundraiser it is so much pressure on him and could be the biggest thing ever in his professional life. He knows he shouldn't mix business with pleasure but Harrison is a perfect switch Daddy, Loren craves the humiliation he rarely gets to deliver and he knows if he gets in the middle between them both he could ruin their marriage, he shot at the big time and his heart broken when they decide they no longer need him. Kody is supposed to be the next top chef, not Daddy's Other Boy.
I enjoyed this story. There were aspects I wasn't completely comfortable with like the introduction of another person into their relationship/marriage and the way that Loren seemed to enjoy being humiliated but I loved the way that they were all respectful of each other and that there were clear boundaries. I definitely was addicted to the book but it did take me a little while to digest it properly. Easy to read and understand the feelings behind the story were in the background and kind of caught me unawares. This is a MMM story with mature content and aspects of BSDM-like D/s and DDLB behaviours with some humiliation.
