Fisher was one of the men who started the Takoda Outreach Center and the food pantry was something that he really wanted to create so that poor people could get food to feed their families. At the same time as his dream comes true life gets complicated as he becomes responsible for two homeless boys with deep secrets and their sassy “guardian” who isn’t talking which further complicates his weekly hookup with hot and perfect Officer Marcus LeBleu. When Marcus volunteers at the centre everyone starts to push them together - can he trust Marcus with the boys and his heart knowing that it will jeopardise his career?
I loved this story with the boys who were adorable in separate ways (after all one was older and snarky and the other was just excited and happy) and the cautious Fisher who has so much love to give as well as Marcus who had his own story but was just focused on Fisher and making sure that he was loved and received the support that he needed. This was easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
