Ryan Barnes is not a fan of country music but finds himself as the bodyguard of one of the most popular country musicians. Colton Montgomery has been a country music star for almost twenty years and seeing his retirement getting closer has finally come out as gay on his own terms. When strange gifts start appearing him Colton's apartment his manager insists he needs a bodyguard but he will only agree if he agrees to pretend to be his boyfriend. The more Ryan gets to know Colton the more he gets to like him and although Colton may be the one in physical danger, however, both men’s hearts are on the line.
I really enjoyed this story with the two men who over time just could not resist each other no matter what their intentions were. The mystery as to who was delivering gifts to Colton was interesting and the final result was a bit of a surprise to me. Easy to read, feel and understand this couple was a delight to experience. This is an MM story with mature content.
