Jackson thought he had everything years ago as he had a wife, a cute kid and a career he loved, then after a terrible injury everything changed. Forced to start over after a divorce life is nothing like it was. When visiting another ranch to see his best friend he meets handsome and curious ranch hand Beau he finds himself overcome with desire - something he hasn't felt in a very long time. When he is presented with a wager he finds himself unable to refuse. Beau always goes after what he wants but the sexy man is hesitant so he offers a trial with no strings attached. When situations change, the two are forced to evaluate just how much they mean to one another. Will Beau be able to rope his Daddy? Or will he have to let the man who stole his heart slip through his grasp?
I enjoyed this story with the vindictive ex-wife, the sweet little boy who would melt anyone's heart and the protective way everyone was over him. I enjoyed the care that was taken over all the characters and the pressures and responsibilities. I loved the way that Jackson and Beau just couldn't stay away from each other and that their friendship and trust were built up over time. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is a MM story with mature content in a BDSM-like DDLB relationship.
