Review: The Fireman's Pole by Sue Brown 4 of 5 stars

The Fireman's Pole

The Fireman's Pole by Sue Brown
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Firefighter Dale has a broken heart and so transfers to a village where he immediately suffers the wrath of the hot lord of the manor when he knocks over the village maypole with a fire engine. Ben is used to people avoiding him but the sexy new firefighter seems to be everywhere and it is becoming hard to ignore the magnetism between them. Will Ben ever forgive Dale for knocking over the maypole? Will Dale wait for Ben to disentangle himself from a relationship he was forced into? Will the villagers, the firefighters, and the staff at the manor house, stop interfering in their relationship? There is also an arsonist in the village who seems to be escalating things and Dale is worried that his next target is Ben and the manor.

I enjoyed this story with the two men who couldn't resist or stay away from each other, the complications in their lives and the escalating arson. They did the best that they could to be discrete and sensitive to the other village residents but I loved that they all had such affection for Ben that they were happy to help them. Easy to read, feel and understand this was a delightful story of love. This was a MM story with some mature content.
