Review: Irresistible Omegas Volume One by Nora Phoenix 4 of 5 stars

Irresistible Omegas Volume One (Irresistible Omegas #1-3)

Irresistible Omegas Volume One by Nora Phoenix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A great value boxset.

#1 Alpha's Sacrifice 4*

I enjoyed this story with all the pain and love that all the men felt and how they were able to find a way to come together as a poly relationship and work together to solve the mysteries that were becoming clear about Vieno's health problem and just how widespread it was. All had their own role to play which was crucial and all had their motivations, feelings and emotions. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMMM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

#2 Alpha's Submission 4*

Things got much more exciting for them as they settled into their relationship and roles. The conspiracies made everything far more interesting and the new arrivals added new dynamics and expanded the knowledge at the same time. Lidon was a strong leader who was able to struggle with all of the changes while also doing what was needed. Some deep thoughts and emotions at times. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMMM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

#3 Beta's Surrender 4*

I enjoyed this story with conflicted Lars who lashes out without thinking, mild-mannered Sven and a very caring and tolerant Greyson. They were made for each other it just took longer for Lars to see it. Greyson had the patience of a saint. I liked all of the emotions swirling around Lars which were well described. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB and D/s dynamics set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

Beta's Surrender (Irresistible Omegas, #3)

Beta's Surrender by Nora Phoenix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Can one older alpha be the Daddy two boys need? Newcomers to the PTP ranch, beta Lars and omega Sven tried to keep their relationship secret. Sweet Sven settles in quickly, but Lars’s bratty behaviour is not making him friends, especially with alpha Grayson, a man twenty years his senior. When Sven’s heat is coming and he needs an alpha, Grayson whom he trusts and chooses, and Lars has to swallow his pride. Grayson sees through him and figures out what Lars craves. Can Grayson be the Daddy these two need?

I enjoyed this story with conflicted Lars who lashes out without thinking, mild-mannered Sven and a very caring and tolerant Greyson. Alpha's Submission (Irresistible Omegas, #2)

Alpha's Submission by Nora Phoenix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lidon, Vieno, Palani, and Enar are finding their way in their relationship, but things are about to get more complicated. New arrivals on the ranch bring new knowledge, and Lidon steps into a legendary identity finding powers he never knew he had. But he’s not the only one who knows the old legends, and between his newfound powers and the conspiracy Palani uncovers, they’re making enemies left and right. When his mates and their home are threatened, Lidon takes a stand and vows to protect what’s his. But will it be enough?

Review: Alpha's Sacrifice by Nora Phoenix 4 of 5 stars

Alpha's Sacrifice (Irresistible Omegas, #1)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Four men are brought together by fate, connected in more powerful ways than they’d ever imagined. Lidon is a powerful alpha-cop, who helps a vulnerable omega through his heat and connects with him in a way that leaves him reeling.
Vieno is an omega who suffers from a medical condition that requires an alpha’s help through his heat. It was supposed to be mere sex, but his instant attraction to the alpha goes much deeper. Enar is an alpha doctor who works himself to the bone hoping it will drown out the inner voices that scream at him he’s not a real alpha. Finally, there is Palani a sassy beta reporter who will do anything to save his omega lover and childhood friend Vieno even if it means watching another man claim him. Amidst political unrest, evidence of corruption and fraud, and a life-threatening medical issue, four men figure out what and who they are to each other.

Review: Haunted by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars

Haunted (Damaged Devils #11)

Haunted by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s Alastair’s life mission to wipe out every leader of the assassin programs around the world. It’s the only way for him to live with the nightmares. Over the years, not only has Alastair made progress in his goal, he’s also saved a few teens who were left for dead when they didn’t make the cut. He never expects one of those survivors would end up saving him. Alastair rescued Reed from a hellish existence. He set Reed up with a new life and gave him everything he needed to keep going. Somewhere along the line, Alastair became Reed’s reason for living. Unfortunately, he doesn’t know how to make Alastair stop seeing him as a victim. He needs Alastair to see him as the man who loves him even if Alastair doesn’t love himself.

I loved this story with the horror of what they had both faced, their coping strategies and the sheer grit and determination Reed had to live and be with the men he loves. I loved Reed's new friend who tried to give him some help and support. As with all of these books in the series, there was some darkness and danger involved but thankfully that helped Alastair to realise that he had to act on his feelings. In the end, they were a cute couple they just had some rough edges too. Easy to read, lots of raw feelings and easy to understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Parts of Us by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

Parts of Us (The Game, #14)

Parts of Us by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cameron. No, Lucian and KC are still happy living together but as with all relationships, there are some challenges. Noa has still not told his mother that he is in a relationship with KC who was his stepfather and Lucian has not heeded the warnings that he needs to slow down. But the smiles between Lucian and KC still showed their deep love and affection after their thirty-year-long friendship. Their dynamics had evolved and were all parts of one whole. Then one night everything screeched to a stop when Lucian collapsed and an ambulance took Lucian with them leaving Cameron with broken trust and intense hurt. They couldn’t be us without him and if one was missing, they were just parts.

Wow - this story had some major dramatics, emotions and feelings. Poor Cameron was rudderless and I was glad that their community and friends came to the fore to both help and support him as well as read Lucien the riot act as to what he had done. I think they all had to show just how strong they all were but it proved that their dynamic worked. As usual, there were shenanigans between the brats and the sadists. I was a little disappointed that the cruise was covered in an epilogue as it deserved more words than that. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMMM story with mature content with BDSM-like DDLB, D/s and M/s dynamics.

Review: Only Orlando by Charlie Novak 4 of 5 stars

Only Orlando

Only Orlando by Charlie Novak
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Orlando thought that hooking up with not one, but two gorgeous men would be the perfect antidote to his Saturday night boredom especially as they knew how to push all his buttons. It was only supposed to be a one-time thing, but Charles and Jude are utterly irresistible and he can’t help but go back for more. Not only are they sexy, charming, and determined to spoil him rotten, but they also want to fulfil his deepest desire of having a Sir and a Daddy. But the two of them are already married and even though their relationship has always been open, they’ve never considered inviting anyone in for more than a fling but the more time they spend together, the more Orlando can feel himself falling for them. The three men fit together so perfectly it’s like they were made for each other, but will they ever consider changing their entire lives for him even if the only thing he wants is to be their Orlando?

This was a sweet story on the periphery of the The Court series of books by the same author. Large parts of this was around the sex that they had but it did also cover the dynamics of their relationship and how Orlando felt insecure being with a married couple who were established and together. I did like the way that Charles and Jude balanced each other well and that Jude was a sub for Charles as much as Orlando was, it was just that he had the confidence to call him on his actions when it was necessary. I enjoyed that money was covered and that Orlando stuck to his principles and that he had to be able to contribute as equally as he could to major things. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s and DDLB dynamics.

Review: Forever Wilde in Aster Valley by Lucy Lennox 4 of 5 stars

Forever Wilde in Aster Valley (Forever Wilde, #9)

Forever Wilde in Aster Valley by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When Miller Hobbs finds himself on a winter vacation in Colorado with the giant, exceedingly loud, Marian and Wilde families, he doesn’t quite know what to do with himself. He’s not really a Marian or a Wilde despite having DNA ties to both. So every morning before the rest of the family wakes up and fills Rockley Lodge with holiday merriment (and noise), he escapes to the quaint downtown of Aster Valley where he spies a man through the bakery window kneading dough and dancing to music only he can hear. Miller is entranced by the dancing baker, and when Darius looks up and catches Miller staring, the interest suddenly goes both ways. Can two strangers find love among the quaint chaos of an Aster Valley Christmas? Even if it includes the two most overwhelming and meddling families vying for the title of greatest matchmakers of all time?

This was a sweet love story with all of the two families getting into Miller's romantic life and a chance for him to understand just how crazy they all are. I loved that he was able to tell and sort out feelings with his grandmother and that she was making such that he would be alright in the future. Darius was a special soul and I loved that he was secure enough to give Miller the help and support that he needed. Their relationship was special and both men were supportive of each other. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of deep emotions in this story. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Kenton's Courage by M.A. Innes 4 of 5 stars

Kenton's Courage (Leashes and Love Book 2)

Kenton's Courage by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kenton is an exciteable puppy and has met the handler of his dreams in Bane but he thinks that Bane is vanilla and has no idea what it is. Bane thinks that Kenton is bouncy, adorable, and slightly naughty, Kenton is everything Bane has always wanted in a partner. The only problem is that Bane isn’t as vanilla as he seems, but he isn’t sure how to bring that up to the possibly confused Kenton.

This was a sweet story on the outer edges of the Leashes and Lace series by Shaw Montgomery. I loved the way that Kenton and Bane sorted out the limits around his modelling work and the associated parties with friends. Some things seemed to happen quickly although the writing might have made the time pass quicker than I anticipated. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like D/s dynamic with puppy play.

NEW! Mated to the Gargoyle by Lisa Carlisle

When the statue awakens…

I love working in a private university library with its special collection of antiquarian books and works of art. My favourite sculpture is one of the massive gargoyle statues, one that’s perched near my desk. Visitors often remark how lifelike it is, and I’ll tease, “Maybe it is.”

One night, a frantic woman asks me to hide a book. It’s a fascinating one with intricate details and contains spells. When I’m shelving it after hours, I hear movement in the library.

Has someone broken in?

What I discover is far more shocking...

Mated to the Gargoyle is a fated mates, protector romance.

Review: NautiCal by Lucy Lennox 4 of 5 stars

NautiCal (Forever Wilde, #8)

NautiCal by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cal went back to the boat owned by a jerk called Prescott from the bar to apply for the chief mate's job but he was the owner’s cheating, gold-digging almost brother-in-law and Cal ended up stuffed in a closet when the ship left the harbour. The ship's owner found him and he agrees to be his fake boyfriend on a cruise through the British Virgin Islands to tempt Prescott to reveal his cheating ways. Jonathan Worthington isn’t just a billionaire, he’s funny and generous and a little bit of a control freak as well as being six feet of sleek, gorgeous silver fox perfection, and suddenly, it’s not just his yacht Cal is lusting over.

This was a sweet version of the fake boyfriend trope mixed in with a healthy dose of forced proximity. I loved Worth with his confidence and the way that Cal was able to unbalance him which produced fun results. I loved the way that their affection for each other came slowly and that it snuck up on them. I loved how clueless Worth was at times and that his sister had to prompt him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: King Me by Lucy Lennox 4 of 5 stars

King Me (Forever Wilde, #7)

King Me by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

FBI Agent Dirk Falcon arrived at an art heist three years ago to find Kingston Wilde tied to a radiator claiming to be an innocent bystander but years later he discovered that King was a notorious art thief he had been tracking for years and had let go. After a priceless artefact goes missing, King is the only one who can help recover it and so Falcon has to work with King but never expected to fall for him. King knew it was time to quit and so headed home to Hobie, Texas, intending to hang up his lock picks for good but the FBI had other plans and Falcon approached him with an offer he couldn’t refuse: full immunity for my past crimes in exchange for helping him with one last job. The catch is that the job involves stealing from the man who taught King everything he knows and then double-crossed him years ago. Pulling this off means trusting Falcon and his team, but how does he trust the sexy agent when he’s staked his career on taking King down?

I loved this story with the complicated emotions around Falcon and King plus those around King and his former partner. The layers that expanded around the FBI team and their management added to the intrigue and confusion. The relationship between King and his family was special and it was great that they turned up in Paris for him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Wreckless: Book Two by Sammy D. Adams 4 of 5 stars

Wreckless: Book Two (Baltimore Bound 3)

Wreckless: Book Two by Sammy D. Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the second and final book about Emmett and Finnegan. They are getting more into the relationship and yet Finn is very busy and stressed at work so he needs his Finny time more than ever. Can they take a break by the sea and when several disasters hit them are they strong enough to handle them?

I didn't enjoy this story as much as book one even though it does have the same star rating. There were several situations that they had to handle and those were written well but I did find a bit of this book a little like filler that could have been omitted and this book combined with part one to make it more complete. I fully appreciated Finn's viewpoint on several of the events in this book and was glad to see that he was able to give Emmy more than just spending money on his as they would have been more valuable to him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Wreckless: Book One by Sammy D. Adams 4 of 5 stars

Wreckless: Book One (Baltimore Bound 2)

Wreckless: Book One by Sammy D. Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Emmett Locke doesn't do the bars and club scene let alone use an app and so has given up on love or finding a partner. Finnegan Walker the Fourth has no time for men who stupidly woo, harass or just eye-fuck him. Yes he is the Vice-president of the company at 26 and folks assume it is just that it is because of his name, but he is very bright and works hard so got it on merit. So he refused to be used and anyway, he has no energy at the end of the day to give to anyone else. Then their worlds collide in an auto accident and suddenly they both find everything they always wanted but didn't know about.

I loved this story with Emmy and Finny meeting and realising that Finny was little and that Emmy could be the perfect Daddy for him. Their learning process and the development of their relationship were very believable and I loved that generally their monetary differences didn't come up or were not causing them issues. I wish I could have hugged Finny as he seemed to need them with all the work he had to do. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Tattooed Mind (Tattooed #2)

Tattooed Mind by Elamy Pride
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pete Cliffer will do just about anything to make big grumpy bear Gavin Savenger fall in love with him. Gavin's life is a never-ending battle with addiction and the guilt of losing someone he loved. Pete has a beautiful light to his soul and the last thing he needs is to try to take Gavin out of his darkness, but like a moth to a flame, Gavin goes to him and can only pray his light is bright enough to keep his darkness from swallowing them whole.

I loved this story with the determined Pete who knew they belonged together and the tormented and reluctant Gavin who didn't want to damage Pete. Pete had hidden depths and levels which was shown with his steadfast support of Gavin facing his problems. Lots of emotions and insecurities in this story which were clear enough to make you emotions. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Wilde Love by Lucy Lennox 4 of 5 stars

Wilde Love (Forever Wilde #6)

Wilde Love by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Weston “Major” Marian is gay and ran away at the age of seventeen and found a home in the Army where his fellow soldiers became family, giving purpose to his time in Vietnam. Then Liam “Doc” Wilde Doc Wilde joined his medevac crew. A night alone in the jungle after a helicopter crash forces them to rely on each other for survival sharing secrets cementing a bond between them. Doc is straight with family back in Texas. When their tours end Doc goes home to his family and Major continues to serve. Over time, their connection continues to grow and when, years later, an unexpected illness turns Doc's life upside down, Major is the first person he turns to for help.

It was lovely to read Doc and the Major's stories. The two men were devoted to each other and it was heartening to read all about the challenging times when they first met each other and the steadfast way that Major supported Doc and his family through rough times and change. I loved the children and the easy way Major was with them - an uncle and father to them. Their second wedding in California was very emotional for them and the reader too. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: In Too Deep by Blake R. Wolfe 4 of 5 stars

In Too Deep (Cherry Estates Billionaire Daddies #3)

In Too Deep by Blake R. Wolfe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kevin is the billionaire CEO of his own software company but is miserable as at the end of college he lost the only man he'd ever loved. He's miserable, still heartbroken, and pushes everyone away eventually. In a bar Levi appears, and Kevin's heart nearly stops beating. Levi is the spitting image of Kevin's ex-lover but when he tries to leave the way he sings and plays that guitar… he's under his spell before he even knows what happened. Kevin never expected Levi to single him out in the crowd and buy him a drink. He’s Kevin's ex-lover’s son. That should have been enough to convince him to stay away. But when Levi plays his guitar, I can’t help but fall in love all over again. Love is easy with Levi. In an instant, Kevin is transported back to his college days. They spend long, hot nights in each other’s arms and Kevin can’t get enough of him. He even calls him Daddy just to mess with him, but I wouldn’t mind making him my Boy. Imagine his surprise when he finally agrees to meet Levi's parents and standing there in the doorway was his ex-lover from all those years ago with his wife, the woman he left him for. He hasn’t forgotten him, and he’s the only thing standing between him and his happily ever after. But he won’t give up on Levi, even if it means fighting his ex-lover to get him.

This was the last book in the series. Levi and his silly little songs made me laugh though Kevin's focus and angst on the past made me want to shake him. Levi was a breath of fresh air. I was glad they all behaved like adults at the end. I did find Levi's clueness around social media strange given his age. Easy to read and feel. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Mountain by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Mountain (Shadow Recon Book 8)

Mountain by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mountain was determined when he got to the Arctic to find his brother Teegan but what had started as a series of mysterious events to deadly ones. He also wondered what part the mysterious Dr Amelia had played in it all as like a ghost she slipped in and around everyone and just what was her problem with the base, and her end game? Dr Amelia Morrison had seen too much in her life to trust anything she couldn’t fathom with her own eyes. What she sees at the international military training camp disturbs her but she needs to stay close even if she wants to run for cover. But the mountain of a man keeps her coming back plus she was able to keep his younger brother alive. Together, Mountain and Amelia need to solve this nightmare before no one else is left alive.

This was a fitting end to the series and finally made it clear who was involved in the killings and the attempts to sabotage the camp. It seemed that no one knew everything and it was a team effort to put it all together into something coherent. The drama and tension were ramped up in this conclusion store and the ending was just wow. There were a lot of emotions at the end and I felt sorry for some of those who were caught by a lie that just escalated. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MF book with some mature content at the end.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Tattooed Heart by Elamy Pride 3 of 5 stars

Tattooed Heart (Tattooed, #1)

Tattooed Heart by Elamy Pride
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ryan is with the love of his life and miserable. His boyfriend of two years is a shark in the courtroom but more like a mythical creature at home, meaning he's never home. He doesn't exist here anymore. After months of him choosing to work late into the night, cancel our plans or simply not show up. I find my backbone and leave. After years of hard work and months of little sleep, he finally became a partner at Novak & Smith Law. But he had missed along the way, was how miserable he was making the love of his life. Now he's left him. He won the big case and won his dream promotion, now he needs to win back his man.

This was a sweet story where a lack of communication on both sides contributed to the needless breakdown of their relationship. I loved the way that Drew's family worked hard to make sure he realised how much he had messed up and how to fix the situation. I think that Ryan didn't stand a chance when Drew started to woo him in earnest. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Alone in a Hotel Room: An M/M Romance (The Lactin Brotherhood Book 1)

Alone in a Hotel Room: An M/M Romance by Alex Blaine
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Tim is a Little and hates to leave his house but being the new guy in the office draws the short straw and has to man a booth at an annual trade show where his company sells membership of their app. So he’ll go by himself, be as brave as he can, and survive his anxiety about being alone in a hotel room. Jax has been a member of The Lactin Brotherhood for years, but this is the first time he’s attending their meet and greet in Vegas. The meet and greet is timed with a fitness conference because many guys in the brotherhood are in the wellness and fitness industry in some capacity or another. Jax's room is next door to a sweet guy who is a Little and in need of some comfort. Despite his own self-consciousness about admitting his condition, Jax can’t resist the pull to offer his most precious commodity to the boy who just can’t get to sleep on his own.

This was a sweet story about how a lactating guy who can be a Daddy meets the little of his dreams and how that relationship started. I loved the way that Tim tried his best to be brave and handle the trip to the conference on his own and how meeting Jax made all of his dreams come true. I did find the whole concept of lactating men a little disturbing but if I suspend my normal logic I can believe it is possible. I loved the way that Jax cared for Tim and that even just Jax's voice was enough to soothe him. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Control by Adara Wolf by R. Phoenix 5 of 5 stars

Control (Mafia Doms #2)

Control by Adara Wolf by R. Phoenix
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Helios has been taking care of himself for as long as he can remember. Kicked out as a teen, he's gone from living on the streets to earning money in any way possible. His life has never been easy, but it’s still his own. Evan is mafia boss Silvano Cresci’s head of security and meets Helios at a meeting in the club he works in. He thinks he can “save” Helios but he doesn't want to have to depend on anyone else ever again because if he starts to rely on him and fall for him then when he inevitably decides to move on from him it will hurt so much more.

This was a suitably dramatic story as Evan became obsessed with Helios and keeping him safe. Whilst I could understand his motivations he went about some of them in the wrong way and that was interesting when Fox was suitably vindictive and caused some mischief (which could have caused Helios's death). I loved that Silvano came through at the last minute with a solution which removed Helios's old boss who was not a good man. Lots of emotions, feelings and over-the-top need to protect someone in this story. This was an MM story with mature content.

His Wayward Little (Devil's Wrath MC Daddies Book 1)

His Wayward Little by L.G. Knight
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Warren Andrews met Sapphire Reyes two years ago on her birthday. He knew the moment she spoke that she was his, but she didn’t. What was worse, she was married, and Warren didn’t mess with married women. A little over a year ago, her husband died. Warren has stood back and watched for two years, first standing back because of her marriage, then allowing her time to grieve and help her kids get their new normal. He’s done waiting. He’s ready to claim his wayward little and nothing is going to stand in his way. But can he coax her out when everyone else in her life has told her she needs to hide who she is?

This was a sweet little story of how Sapphire struggled after her husband's death, that he tried to help from afar until she got to breaking point and he helped again in a more visible way. I liked that he was careful of boundaries and asked for consent. A feel-good book to make you smile. This is an MF story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLG dynamic.

Submit (Mafia Doms #1)

Submit by Adara Wolf by R. Phoenix
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kyran Winters has a secret. He is gay, a submissive and he can't be in a relationship with Silvano Cresci. As the son of the Winters gang leader, he cannot be gay and Silvano is the leader of their most hated rival gang. He cannot stop thinking about Silvano can't stop lusting for him, and the way he made him submit and the way he could get him to the edge with just a few words and touches. Trying to say he is done with Silvano he has different ideas and so he has to choose between him or his family but how long can he resist him? Silvano knows that being a gay mafia don is not easy as he has always had to live with homophobic comments or slurs but knows to get their respect he has to prove that he can be just as ruthless as them and take down the Winters Gang. The problem is if he does that he will turn Kyran towards hatred and he will lose him. He just needs to find a way to do it and not remove the thread of his family while keeping them alive because Kyran is his, whether he knows it or not.

Wow, this was a dark story but so very addictive that I just could not put it down. The drama of their relationship and the different gangs ramped up the pressure on them and so I was so pleased that Silvano found a way to avoid needless death for the members of Kyran's family. Their kinks aligned perfectly even though you might not understand them. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story came to the fore at critical moments. Easy t read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like dynamic.

Ezra is attracted to him and when he is told about the hard drive he was supposed to steal he wants to be taken under his wing to stop the criminals that threatened him and spread so much evil throughout this city. But diving into mercenary work tends to summon demons. Cain is focused and never rests until a pretty little thief breaks into his high-rise and shatters what he’d come to believe was peace and he hesitates to pull the trigger for the first time. Cain has never been so captivated by another person. But he's been burned before and won’t tolerate betrayal. If this kid so much as blinks those long eyelashes wrong, he won’t hesitate to kill him.

This was a very dramatic story with the mystery of child trafficking all mixed into the story of Ezra and Cain and their relationship. The child trafficking plot had many layers and it was a source of distress to Ezra which Cain had to try and help him through. It was fascinating that they were both damaged and able to help each other through. I loved Cain's second-in-command Rev who could train Ezra and also help tire him out with exercise. There were a lot of raw emotions in this story as well as love and affection. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Saint by Lucy Lennox 5 of 5 stars

His Saint (Forever Wilde #5)

His Saint by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Augie doesn't need protection even after a home invasion but to appease his sister he agrees to take self-defence lessons. He is allocated Saint Wilde a big, muscled former Navy SEAL who is everything he'd always daydreamed about but never thought he could have. Saint is dead set on looking out for him even when things in his life are suddenly complicated. Between the increasing threats against him and pressure from his wealthy family to be someone he's not, he's having a hard time keeping it together. Then Augie starts to wonder - while Saint's busy looking after everyone else, who's looking after him? Saint is benched after opening his big mouth and getting into trouble with a high-profile client. Now he is back in his hometown teaching self-defence to an antiques nerd in a local gym but when attractive and petite Augie arrives he nearly trips over his own feet as he is adorable and very scared. He won't tell Saint what's spooked him, but he won't rest until he finds a way to take the fear out of his gorgeous eyes. Even if defending Augie means he has to stop protecting his own heart.

I enjoyed this story with the treats to Augie and his horrible family at the heart of his problems and Saint trying to protect him while getting to the bottom of something Auggie wasn't prepared to talk about. There was so much chemistry between the two men that it was inevitable that they would end up together they just needed the right conditions for it to thrive. The crux of Augie's troubles were all around his family and I loved the way that his grandfather tried to protect him as best that he could. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Hide With Me

Hide With Me by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gael has had a crush on Professor Aavik since he first spotted the man in the kink community they’re both part of a while now and so is taking one of his classes. He finds the professor super dreamy, Distinguished and charismatic - a total silver fox. When Gael’s ex-boyfriend ignores the restraining order against him and tries to reach out, another man steps out of the shadows, and Gael is suddenly at a loss for words and can’t describe the intense attraction. Private investigator Joshua “Santiago” Jones has been keeping an eye on Gael for a while as a favour to a friend but would love the opportunity to get closer to Gael for real as he is Can both these Daddies be together and be there for Gae?

This was a sweet story with the two men coming together and accepting that they can both care for Gael. Lots of sweetness in this story and what sounds like amazing waffles to eat. I loved the relationship between Ezra and his father which was a nice contrast to the stereotype of a Father trying to convince his son to give up a man he considers bad or become straight. This book has many emotions around the stalker ex and the three men in general and their relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB and D/s dynamic.

Review: Hudson's Luck by Lucy Lennox 3 of 5 stars

Hudson's Luck (Forever Wilde, #4)

Hudson's Luck by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Hudson Wilde broke his girlfriend's heart so his boss (her father) sent him to Ireland to redeem himself and then he hopes to get back on track with his life goals to get promoted and have the life he's planned: a successful career, loving wife and kids, a comfortable, financially-secure home life in Texas. All of that seems to evaporate the moment he walks into the historic pub in Ireland and sees the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Only, Charlie Murray is not a woman but a man who for the first time in Hudson's life makes him repeatedly take a look at him, touch him, maybe even kiss him. Maybe he is not as straight as he thought. Hudson walks into the family's pub and begins babbling so adorably, that Charlie can't help but fall just a little bit in love. But he's looking for Forever Man, and the sexy American is certainly not him. But those eyes... how can he resist? After Charlie has to go to Hobie, Texas, right into the middle of Hudson's steady life, more gay Wildes than can fit on a dance floor, the more time he spends with Hudson, the more Charlie thinks he might be his Forever Man after all. And he may be his. Is it possible they could both be so lucky?

This was a good story after the mess of the proposal which wasn't which had so made me laugh. Some of this story is heartwarming and some are a bit ridiculous which took my review points down by one. I did enjoy the small amount of humour in this story but there were also a lot of emotional and thought processing moments. East to read and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Prowl by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

Prowl (The Game Series, #12)

Prowl by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Walker McKenna was finally back with his husband and beloved submissive, Macklin. They had their work cut out for them, and they were ready as neither could survive without the other. When the ghosts of past hurt and insecurities grabbed hold of both men, Walker had to go on a hunt once more and he found support in new friend Ty Madison who has a mission to make Lane his after what they shared in Florida he knew they belonged together. As a storm approached Ty found himself alone in his house with Walker. A man with insight, incredible charisma, and troubles of his own. Maybe some missions were best executed as a team.

This was a story following on from Apex Predator and was how the relationships between Walker and Macklin and Ty and Lane developed and how the four interacted. I found the ethical non-monogamy a hard thing to get my head around if I am honest but if I took the attitude that they were all happy with it then it was easier to take. There were a lot of feelings and emotions involved in this story and I liked the sensitive way that Lane's ADHD was handled. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM + MM story with mature content, BDSM-like D/s dynamics and Ethical Non-Monogamy.

Review: Apex Predator by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

Apex Predator (The Game #11)

Apex Predator by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lane Sawyer had been invited to spend a week in sunny Florida with his boyfriend Macklin and some of his kinkster friends and he needed some uncomplicated fun and the promise of no drama and hopefully a close encounter or two with the apex predator of the Everglades, the Burmese python. He loved, loved, loved reptiles. When Lane arrives, he finds himself face-to-face with their host for the week, his high school girlfriend’s dad who was the man who’d once made Lane realise he was into men. Macklin McKenna couldn’t wait to get away as he needed a vacation from himself. But maybe a week in South Florida with his friends and his adoring boyfriend Lane could distract him from the fact that he was never getting over the man he was still technically married to. Unfortunately, Macklin’s friends were fed up with his agony and had ensured another apex predator was coming too.

This was an interesting book as it finally sorted out the mess between Macklin and his husband Walker. The reconnection of Ty and Lane was also an explosion of passion and gave them a chance to explore what was possible between them. I loved the game they played around primal play too which might have appeared too violent but safewards were always available. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of emotions in this book. This is a MMMM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: The Convict by R.S. McKenzie 4 of 5 stars

The Convict (Devil's Mayhem MC #1)

The Convict by R.S. McKenzie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rax is given fifteen years to life which is a long time to be sentenced to prison, even if he deserves it as the Enforcer of his MC. Prepared to spend his time waiting for the lawyer to appeal his sentence an opportunity presents itself to escape and he takes it. On his way back to the clubhouse in Tennessee he gets stuck in a small Missouri town he has to kidnap the small-town mechanic to aid in his escape. Finn finishes his weekly food run and is approached by a hot-as-sin guy in the parking lot with a broken-down truck. He helps him out and thinks he's on his way until he shoves a gun on his back. It turns out that hot guy is an escaped convict and all he wants is my cooperation as a hostage. To live, I’ll have to trust him and do everything I can to save my life including using his body.

I enjoyed this story although it did get boring at one point but I pushed through and it gripped me again. The transformation of their relationship from a straight biker on the run from prison and his hostage to two men who trusted each other and shared their bodies and pleasure was inspiring. Finn was brave as could be seen as he worked with the MC members to punish a traitor as well as get Rax free again which was inspiring (even if it took Rax a while to come around). Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with occasional MMM with mature content.

Review: Senseless by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

Senseless (The Game #9)

Senseless by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After the fire at Mclean House the community works together to finish the renovations in one week so that they are ready for the next edition of the Game - this one is called Senseless as it focuses on the senses and is a gift to all those sadists as they torment their brats. Reese promises cuddles in the dark and possibly a ball gag, Kit is super-excited about a gift he’s won for Daddy Colt, Kingsley can’t help but picture a future with Tate in which they start a family, Noa has a bratty surprise, poor Greer and Colt are having their chests shaved for a frigid photoshoot.

This was a fun story as all the community members worked together to finish the house on time for what worked out to be unique games with brats blindfolded and their senses tested. It was fun to experience them as safeguards were put into place and the brat's top was always there to safeguard them Clear writing meant that you could live through it with them all which meant that we could feel their thoughts, emotions and feelings. These are MM(MM) stories with mature content in BDSM-like dynamics.

Fitting In

Fitting In by Silvia Violet
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two cops (Jack and Gray) walk into a bar and bartender Mason wonders if they are real as they are both hot. When they break up a bar fight he quickly learns they are the real deal, and they want him in the worst way. They both fulfil Mason’s fantasies but also offer comfort and want to take care of Mason by offering him unconditional friendship but it unnerves him more than anything they do in bed. Mason needs to realise love is just as real as the two men he thought he’d only find in his dreams.

This was a book that concentrated a lot on the physical side of their relationship but also had some exploration of emotions, feelings and love. There was also some inclusion of a spate of robberies in the area which fed into the story. This was easy to read and understand but does have a high smut content - these cp[s are dirty in the bedroom. This was an MMM story with mature content with some BDSM-like behaviours.

Hostile Takeover (The Game, #8)

Hostile Takeover by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Franklin was finally on the right path as his divorce was going well and was civil for the sake of their daughter and he could be the gay man who was into BSDM that he was meant to be. He was happy making real friends as opposed to those in his ex-wife's uppity circle. Then his ex-wife's favourite nephew Jackson Dune is in town on a business trip and wants to have dinner. He just has to get through the one dinner with a man who puts him on edge due to his abundance of charisma and assertiveness. The next day they go to the gym together and Jackson shows his true, filthy, dominant, addictive and inappropriate colours.

This was a wild ride that started something special between the two men that has the intent and potential for forever. I loved that Jackson knew Lily and had some great ideas to help her which will ease their transition later to being together in the same home. Franklin had a swift introduction to some new kinks which he coped with admirably. I liked that they had clear communication and that they drew a line between their relationship and the BDSM relationship so that they were both secure. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Walker's Lost Lollipop (Found by Daddy Book 8)

Walker's Lost Lollipop by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Walker met his daddy, his true love, his always and forever, while he was a freshman at college. By the time he graduated, they had a cute little house, the cuddliest dog, and their whole lives ahead of them until it was all stolen from him one rainy night. After three years he still had no idea how to move on even though he knew that his daddy wouldn't want him to be alone. Then one day he accidentally left his bag from a sweet shop in a booth in a diner and his life was changed. Then sexy sweet shop owner Mateo asks for his phone number even though he doesn't know it yet.

This was a sweet story of a little trying to cope after the sudden death of his daddy/husband and how he met his new daddy. It was heartbreaking to experience him trying to cope by himself and then get hope as he met Mateo and started dating him. I loved their visit to the other club and the connection to new friends. It was easy to read and the emotions/feelings were easy to pick up from the writing. This is an MM story and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Adrift in the Embers by Cara Dee

Little Corey is autistic and currently with an abusive Daddy Dom called Marcus and accepts what he is told and blames himself for being stupid. He was preparing to move to Denver with him and lose his friends and family. Then Master Greer talked to him and he didn’t know what to believe anymore. Master Greer was his friend, his favourite Sadist and he was dating two amazing men who were also saying stuff that was painful to hear like the man who was supposed to protect him, love him, and take care of him in their Daddy/Little relationship was in reality abusing him. Corey stayed with the family and slowly his mind he saw the truth and a way forward.

Wow, this was emotional at times as Corey came to realise what Marcus had done to him and that he belonged in their family as a full member. I loved his final confrontation with Marcus and how Greer helped him to release all of his anger. Lots of feelings and emotions in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. Review: The Shepherd by Cara Dee 4 of 5 stars

The Shepherd (The Game, #6)

The Shepherd by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sadist Greer had long dreamed that after he left the Marines he would have a big family in a house in the sticks and some animals. At forty-five he had a farmhouse. Rescue dogs and chickens and a .rowdy bunch of nieces and nephews but it killed him to come home to an empty house at the end of the day. It hurt that nobody seemed to be interested in anything beyond pain sessions and casual playtime. Even his best friend Sloan pulled away from him and he was struggling to make ends meet with four kids - they should move in with him. In a single week, Archie appeared after a five-year absence at a kink event and Sloan made a drunken confession. Time to improvise, adapt, and…start believing in pipe dreams.

I enjoyed this story with lots of history, confessions and dreams come true as Greer's family grew suddenly to exactly what he always wanted. I liked all of the consideration, clear communication and frequent checks. There were a lot of feelings and emotions in this story as well as a lot of happiness. This was clear and easy to read and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and BSDM-like D/s dynamics.

Review: Out of the Ashes by Cara Dee 5 of 5 stars

Out of the Ashes (The Game, #5)

Out of the Ashes by Cara Dee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Tate and his Master Kingsley screwed up their relationship. When Tate stood there in the ashes alone, raw, naked, enraged, and in more pain than he could handle he realised they’d been wrong from the beginning. Kingsley and he couldn’t be over. he missed him so much that it hurt to breathe. But we had burned out. Their biggest mistake had been to put an expiration date on a love destined for eternity. They’d been blinded by their kinks not lining up perfectly. They’d let fears and insecurities rule in silence, and it was time to confront them head-on even if they brought someone else in. They’d burn together.

So many emotions, feelings and raw passion in this story. It started with a broken relationship and then worked through how they could knit themselves back together as neither could survive without the other. This was told sensitively and using clear language so you could feel and understand it. I loved the brat BootCamp lol Easy to read, feel and understand. I loved this story where Noa came into his own after reading KC the Riot Act and all four of them found the future that fit them perfectly. Matt has been so deep undercover in the GSD Cartel for years and has no idea if Detroit PD knows that he is still alive. The only contact he has in law enforcement is his FBI handler, Griffin James but he’s not very helpful with the details and spends more time handling him than actually helping. So criminals have become his friends and family.

I liked this story but it was a little boring in places and I found the number of undercover law enforcement people in the one cartel very unbelievable. The end of the book was also a bit abrupt. East to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and plenty of violence.

Breathless (The Game, #3)

Breathless by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shay tours the BDSM clubs asking the one question to the sadists - “Will you beat me without knowing the reason?” because he wants punishment as all he can focus on are images of grief, fire, and accusation and the piercing tone of a machine letting him know that he'll have to tell his two kid brothers that our sister’s heart will never beat again. Most decline immediately as they adhere to safe, sane, and consensual. Then he tries twin sadists River and Reece Tenley and after asking his questions they give him a stone-cold once over, and he gets the response “Sure. It’s your funeral.”.

I enjoyed this story as they worked hard on Shay to try and break down his grief and insistence that he was to blame for his family's deaths It was a method used by sadists and a masochist but it did seem to work. I loved how over time the Daddy side came out more and that Shay was able to accept the past. River and Reece were a pleasant surprise as they had a lot of Daddy tendencies. Shared by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Barclay is in love with Val Russo, but he is convinced that if he tells him the truth, everything between them will change and he refuses to let that happen. When he receives a wedding invitation from his ex he is reminded exactly why he built walls and why his arrangement with Val is sex only. Val knows that just because their relationship is open doesn’t mean Barclay isn’t enough for him. As the years wear on, he finds himself wanting more so he realises the only way to get what he wants is to call his bluff. When Val meets Jason it is just what Barclay needed to take action. He has no idea how deep Barclay’s feelings go, and as he spills them out to him one by one, he falls a little more in love. Suddenly, there’s a rich future on the table that he’d never imagined, not even in my wildest dreams. Now they are together and Barclay is ready to give him anything and anyone to keep him happy.

The Secret Plan (The Game, #10)

The Secret Plan by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daddy Dom and fighter pilot Colt Carter was forty-five and had been with Lucas for nine years. He was confident and yet Kit Damien could still rattle him when he confessed to having certain fantasies. Good thing Santa was on his way. Santa knew exactly what to say. He was also a stellar partner in crime when the brats of Mclean House were up to no good and making secret plans for their holiday party.

This was a sweet story as Colt struggled and then accepted that giving Kit some freedom was a good thing and did not detract from their love and relationship. The boy's Christmas presents to their Doms were very touching and those received by Colt were emotional too. At the end of all their party shenanigans, it was important and heartening to see they had strengthened relationships and were just as in love as they were before. Their Boy by Cara Dee
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kit Damien was left alone in the world to live on his own in a very big house while he struggled with the physical and emotional scars left over from when he lost his parents. He is also struggling to find his place in the kink community he longs to be a more active part of. Daddy Doms Colt and Lucas have been a happy, committed couple for eight years. But two Tops need a bottom, and their quest for a Little to complete their lives has led them to Kit’s empty doorstep. Colt and Lucas will need to challenge Kit at every turn to force him to open up and let them in, to let them use their methods to make him whole again. Together, the three will embark on a journey to learn about true love, growing up, the importance of sprinkles, and the rules of The Game that can make them all winners.

I loved this story as we learnt all about Kit's struggles and how he fits into the dynamic between Colt and Lucas. Their care of him was touching and I loved that they made some of his self-care daily chores as well as giving him an appreciation of the cost of things. There was a lot of focus on thoughts, feelings and emotions in this story and I was swept away by their story and the way they broke down the barriers while protecting Kit. Top Priority (The Game, #1)

Top Priority by Cara Dee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In a perfect world, Lucas West would meet someone in one of the BDSM communities he was active in, someone who ached for a Daddy Dom as much as Lucas longed for a Little to care for. In a perfect world, Colt Carter would get through his next deployment and then move closer to DC where he could create at least a semblance of a personal life. He wanted something outside of the Air Force, something kinky, something worth leaving everything behind for eventually. For years, he’d kept his inner Sadist and Daddy Dom locked up, only letting him out to play on rare occasions. In reality, Lucas and Colt met each other.

In this novella, two tops meet each other and fall in love. They weren't completely what they needed, but they were happy (although a third would complete them). I liked the detail of Colt'd deployment and the effect on them both and their relationship. I also loved the way that Lucas connected to Colt's family so that they could all support each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Garrett has spent years training in gymnastics, but the pressure has taken its toll and despite qualifying for the Olympics, failing to medal at the World Championships is all he can think about. Anger is taking control and strangling his ability to focus on training, when his main rival, Team USA gymnast, Ryder Anderson, arrives at the gym to train alongside him. Garrett wants to hate Ryder, but he can’t ignore his rival’s sunshine personality and handsome looks. Discovering Ryder is fighting a battle against himself, Garrett’s anger turns to admiration and then love. Dating his rival isn’t against the rules, but that doesn’t make it a good idea. Can they make a relationship work despite the pressure of the Olympics, or will they crack under the strain?

I adored these two men who both had demons to fight one with food and the other with anger. Thankfully they were able to get help while also focusing on their gymnastics. Both had coaches who were there for all of their needs and although their main passion was gymnastics they were also passionate about each other. I loved their relationship and that they had such levels of trust in each other. Lots of emotions and feelings in this book. This is an MM story with mature content.

His Secret Alpha by Chani Lynn Feener
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Omega Sky Tancredi has had a secret crush on his best friend’s older brother Kian for as long as he can remember. Sky plans to casually bump into him at the Christmas parade and blow Kian away with how mature and hot Sky is now. Too bad Sky’s body doesn’t stick to the program, and instead of coming off as a trendy, cool omega, Sky goes into heat at the sight of the older male. Kian Erksine is an Intergalactic Detective with the IPF but hates his job. He’d thought it’d be all excitement all the time but he mostly finds himself handling petty crimes. Now that he’s back on his home planet, he needs to explain to his family that he’s there to stay for good. When Sky randomly goes into heat, Kian ends up giving him a hand. It was only meant to be a kind gesture, but now that he’s had a taste, Kian can’t seem to stop thinking about the creative omega or how badly he wants to make him his.

I struggled a bit with this story as Kian was disinterested but felt that he should care for Sky so it was not really sexual and then it changed to be sexual. If they were true mates (after all Sky's heat started early) why did he not become pregnant with unprotected sex with a knot? There wasn't much about feelings about each other, just the determination from Sky to have Kian. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.
