Walker met his daddy, his true love, his always and forever, while he was a freshman at college. By the time he graduated, they had a cute little house, the cuddliest dog, and their whole lives ahead of them until it was all stolen from him one rainy night. After three years he still had no idea how to move on even though he knew that his daddy wouldn't want him to be alone. Then one day he accidentally left his bag from a sweet shop in a booth in a diner and his life was changed. Then sexy sweet shop owner Mateo asks for his phone number even though he doesn't know it yet.
This was a sweet story of a little trying to cope after the sudden death of his daddy/husband and how he met his new daddy. It was heartbreaking to experience him trying to cope by himself and then get hope as he met Mateo and started dating him. I loved their visit to the other club and the connection to new friends. It was easy to read and the emotions/feelings were easy to pick up from the writing. This is an MM story and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.
