Warren Andrews met Sapphire Reyes two years ago on her birthday. He knew the moment she spoke that she was his, but she didn’t. What was worse, she was married, and Warren didn’t mess with married women. A little over a year ago, her husband died. Warren has stood back and watched for two years, first standing back because of her marriage, then allowing her time to grieve and help her kids get their new normal. He’s done waiting. He’s ready to claim his wayward little and nothing is going to stand in his way. But can he coax her out when everyone else in her life has told her she needs to hide who she is?
This was a sweet little story of how Sapphire struggled after her husband's death, that he tried to help from afar until she got to breaking point and he helped again in a more visible way. I liked that he was careful of boundaries and asked for consent. A feel-good book to make you smile. This is an MF story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLG dynamic.
