Review: King Me by Lucy Lennox 4 of 5 stars

King Me (Forever Wilde, #7)

King Me by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

FBI Agent Dirk Falcon arrived at an art heist three years ago to find Kingston Wilde tied to a radiator claiming to be an innocent bystander but years later he discovered that King was a notorious art thief he had been tracking for years and had let go. After a priceless artefact goes missing, King is the only one who can help recover it and so Falcon has to work with King but never expected to fall for him. King knew it was time to quit and so headed home to Hobie, Texas, intending to hang up his lock picks for good but the FBI had other plans and Falcon approached him with an offer he couldn’t refuse: full immunity for my past crimes in exchange for helping him with one last job. The catch is that the job involves stealing from the man who taught King everything he knows and then double-crossed him years ago. Pulling this off means trusting Falcon and his team, but how does he trust the sexy agent when he’s staked his career on taking King down?

I loved this story with the complicated emotions around Falcon and King plus those around King and his former partner. The layers that expanded around the FBI team and their management added to the intrigue and confusion. The relationship between King and his family was special and it was great that they turned up in Paris for him. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
