Review: The Director by Renee Rose 4 of 5 stars

The Director (Chicago Bratva, #1)

The Director by Renee Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Successful attorney Lucy had one night of passion with Chicago Bratva boss Ravil and then discovered she was pregnant. Wanting to protect her unborn child from crime and corruption she keeps it a secret. When he discovers the truth he sets out to claim what is his but before that Lucy will need to be punished. His aim, at the end of sequestering her, is for her to be his bride and it will be much better for all if she can fall in love with him and do it willingly.

I really enjoyed this book with the battle of wills that she was always going to lose, it was all a case of how long it took for her to realise and start to compromise before a complete change in her attitude. I really enjoyed the way that he did everything he could to prepare for the baby and to take care of her and that she did start to appreciate it. I also loved the way that she finally realised that he wasn't the kind of criminal that she thought he was which I know was a great relief to her. Easy to read and feel the character's thoughts and emotions. Contains mature content.
