My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Christine knew that Othim was her fated mate but he was in one of the chambers being kept alive. Even though life is hard in the bunker with the different factions and the limited food supply, she is determined to get him out and so reads books until she knows how to open to release him. Then she starts to realise some of the implications as he goes from medical crisis to medical crisis before she has to deal with the Black Market to get a certain piece of equipment to save his life.
Whilst I love the women meeting their Zmaj mates I did struggle a bit with this one as I felt that Christine was so determined to no longer be alone and desperate for her to have a mate that she risked his life to remove him from the chamber without any thought or preparation of what was going to happen to him. Her desperation for everyone to help save him was also another example of her selfishness. I did like Othim and I loved the way he was able to communicate with the other soldiers from his team. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content.
