Review: Ryatt by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Ryatt (Hathaway House Book 18)

Ryatt by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ryatt had a rough start at Hathaway House but after he did a major reboot in his attitude he is still struggling to get his feet under him there. Seeing his sister have to return to the centre hit him far harder than he expected as he thought when he got there and did the work it gave a free pass for life but not as maintenance is also important. So he now needs real progress, a permanent change and make the future that he wants to have. Lana looks at life in a happy and fun-loving way. She loves working at Hathaway House and interacting with the patients and staff. But one patient is reticent and grumpy - Ryatt. However, she is attracted to him with his dark and broken depths. Can she show him another view of the world and way of life considering that he has shown her so much more in her world?

I enjoyed this story with the deep analysis of feelings, relationships and mental struggles of Ryatt. It was easy to feel all of the thoughts and emotions that he had and live them along with him. I feel it also gave a bit more of an insight into the effect that recovering from an injury can take on injured service people both on the mental side as well as the physical side. I loved this couple who were definitely very well suited.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
