Review: Medium to Well by Edie Montreux 4 of 5 stars

Medium to Well

Medium to Well by Edie Montreux
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Scientist Ash Barrett deals with facts but when things start happening in his apartment he has to accept that the ghost of his dead fiance wants something from him - he just needs help to figure out what he wants. Kenny Nguyen is the host of a late-night TV programme called Medium to Well which helps people to finish their outstanding spirit business. Then he finds that Stephen who is Ash's deceased fiance has the most outrageous request he has ever heard - something he would say no to without thought except that Ash is gorgeous, kind and willing to do anything to lay his fiance's spirit to rest. If Kenny accepts the ghostly indecent proposal would Ash want a relationship afterwards with Kenny himself and can Ash trust something he can't see in order to have a chance at love.

This was a really sweet story with a grieving Ash, a badgered Kenny, a determined ghost called Stephen and a series of events that conspired to ensure that Stephen got his way. I loved the way that Kenny accepted Ash and his need to move past his relationship with Stephen even though one of the ways he helped was a lot freaky. There were definitely times that I wanted to shake Ash and so I was very relieved when he understood what was happening. Easy to read and understand, this story contains explicit mature content in an MM context. I was thrilled when everything worked out and they got the HEA that they both deserved.
