Barrel was imprisoned in the special jail for shifters for killing the people who had killed his family and is now freed in order to go on a mission to save Eva from people who have captured her to work for her in the sex trade. When he sees her he knows she is the light in his darkness and a reason for him to live - his bear will do anything to protect her - even if he has to go back to prison. Can they get the HEA they deserve at the end of this wild adventure?
I really enjoyed this story with the dramatic moments at the hands of evil people, the resourceful Eva and the determined Barrel who would do anything to protect her. When they are together their passion was the brightness that both of their lives needed. There was a lot of danger and drama in this story, as well as mature content as they experienced off-the-charts passion together. Easy to read and understand I was swept away in the story.
