Ryder and Nate were best friends and whereas gay Nate stayed home as a high school teacher Ryder went into the military and was deployed overseas all of the time. Ryder is now back and Nate has always secretly been in love with Ryder but as he is straight he never told him. Ryder is now back home and is searching for somewhere to belong. When he tells Nate that he is curious about experimenting with men in bed Nate almost chokes on his beer. Could Nate's straight best friend actually be the one?
This was a sweet story of a best friend who loved his friend but knew he couldn't take it further getting the chance to make both their dreams come true. I was thrilled for Nate and it was quite sensitively told even though it is a well-written trope. Easy to read and understand. Contains mature content in this MM story.
