Review: Boyfriend Freeze by D.J. Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Boyfriend Freeze

Boyfriend Freeze by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ollie has sworn off hookups, sexting, and dating for sixty days to regain his self‑respect — a promise that seems solid until he meets Graham, the sweet, geeky librarian who’s exactly the kind of temptation he didn’t plan for. Graham is all wrong for Ollie’s vow but exactly right for his heart, leaving Ollie torn between keeping his promise and pursuing the perfect guy he never expected to find.

Ollie’s behaviour really drives this story as he’s clearly overwhelmed, unfocused, and absolutely needed that sixty‑day break to get his head straight and keep from tanking his classes. Meeting Graham throws everything off balance, and because they’re such opposites, their relationship always felt like it would either click beautifully or fall apart fast. It’s a nice, easy read, but I didn’t get much more from it beyond the surface connection and the contrast between their personalities. Still, their dynamic had moments of charm. This was an MM story with mature content.
